The food was amazing. The service was great and awful in different ways. Our server was great and knowledgeable about the menu. However, the hostess at the hostess stand couldn't have been ruder. It was also very busy. I'm giving it 5 stars because the food was great, which I believe is the most important factor.
They had a pounding drum type music playing, but when we requested that it be turned down it was turned down, so that was a plus. We got there early on a Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. Three out of the four dishes were great, that was the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, steak and frits. The pulled pork was just above average. It could have been worse. They didn't really have any barbecue sauce. I'm probably spoiled from living 22 years in Tennessee.
