“Just went to Shelby’s with a group from my church, and they refused to service me and my 4 kids. They wrongly accused my daughter of something when she worked there and fired the Entire staff except their own family. The daughter was the one wrongly accusing every one of things they didn’t do. Lucky my daughters good reputation follows her and she got a job else were where they treat their staff with dignity and respect. So now that we went to try to enjoy a meal with my church they made us leave. Really bad people. Too bad because their food is good. I will pray for their hearts as they are not good people!“

“What an amazing restaurant!! Food and service outstanding. We had lasagna and seafood and pasta in a red sauce. Amazing!! Such awesome flavors!! Every staff member we interacted with..including the owner..knew every answer to any question..and the family story is so interesting.

“Best margaritas you’ll find in town. Cheese Crisp (with green chilies) the best this side of the line. All their food is delicious , fresh and authentic ...Owner and Staff are friendly great folks. Tequila shots are top of the line. Only place you’ll find delicious Chocolate Tequila!!!! Make it your to go place while you’re here. Mariachis are genuine and know 1000’s of songs. Be part of the atmosphere and request a favorite. Indoor or Outdoor dining is great , always clean , choose shade or sun and it’s dog friendly. Been coming here for years, a local Rio Rican.“

“We celebrated our 12-year wedding anniversary here, and it was nothing short of amazing. I've lived in Tucson my entire life and had never visited before, so it was a special place for both my husband and me to experience together. We requested outdoor seating, and the view of the course was breathtaking. In the distance, we saw cows, horses, and ducks, and the trees and mountain views alone made the setting feel perfect and peaceful. The quite atmosphere was much needed too. We started with drinks and then dove right into the Ahi Tuna Tostada (fried wontons, cucumbers, mango, edamame, escabeche, Thai chili aioli, wasabi, and pickled ginger)—10/10! For my entrée, I chose the salmon (parsnip purée, grilled asparagus, red grape shallot reduction). The flavors complemented each other beautifully—another 10/10. My husband ordered the grilled rib-eye (whipped potatoes, broccolini, black garlic cream demi-glace), and everything was cooked to perfection. The sauce on the steak was especially excellent—10/10. For dessert, we decided to splurge and tried both the peanut butter pie and the apple pie—both were absolutely delectable. Our server was kind and attentive, and I honestly have nothing negative to say. We now live in Sahuarita, and Tubac was just a short, peaceful drive away. I highly recommend checking this place out! We can't wait to go back.“

“I’ve read the reviews. Look, this isn’t a fancy tourist bar or 5 star restaurant. It’s a local saloon in the middle of nowhere with mediocre food & service. Chill out, try to fit in, don’t dress up, don’t act entitled. Enjoy the experience for what it is. Sitting at the bar will get you the best, friendly service. Burgers and wings are good. And well, beer is beer!“
