Desi Chowrastha Reviews
Tried their samosa chaat, mutton dum biryani, pani puri. Mutton dum biryani was good and chaat could have been much better. Over all it was a 3.5/5 experience.
Great find, the mutton dum was so flavorful and tender with perfectly cooked rice.
Dosas are consistently amazing. I wish they had coconut chutney option.
Try their burnt garlic chicken fried rice... Chummmma

Desi Chowrastha in Chandler recently celebrated its first anniversary and has already built a reputation for authentic Indian flavor. The Chicken Mandi is top-notch, with traditional spices and tenderness, and no other place in Arizona offers this style. It can sell out, showing how in demand it is. The vibe is busy, but the staff tries to take care of everyone and will replace a dish if something goes wrong. Wait times can be longer, but the quality and uniqueness make it worth waiting for.
The food is packed with flavor, portions are great, and everything tastes fresh. Their Irani tea is a must-try, perfectly strong and rich with proper Hyderabad café vibes. The benne masala dosa, chicken dum biryani, chicken tikka frankie, and paneer tikka are also highly recommended. The curries and appetizers are the best, especially the wet appetizers, and the chaat items are loved. The goat biryani and chicken biryani are delicious, and the front desk team is excellent for suggestions. The staff are friendly, service is quick, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. Taste is good and consistent across visits. Even if online reviews seem mixed, happy customers often don’t post, and crowds and longer waits can be a good sign that people keep coming back.
