10/10! Every dish we ordered was delicious. The vibe is chill, cool decor and service was great. Servers and buser very nice. Súper recommend. Will most definitely be returning. Thank you!

We've dined several times at Nado Republic. Definitely our favorite Italian restaurant on the Island. Very authentic. Did a simple spinach salad, pizza and drinks. Everything was da bomb! Kudos!

Tables cramped and close together. Can't get filtered tap water / you have to pay for bottled water. They offered bread - and that was additional charge too. Order was wrong - and they tried to charge us for the added prosciutto that we didn't order. Pasta just ok. They do offer a military discount - and although dogs are welcome on the patio is is so cramped I don't recommend bringing pups.

The good- even though it was busy they were able to get us a table. The bad- waitress took a while to take our order and once taken we had ordered to pizzas and one never arrived. We waited patiently and nothing. Finally we called her and she said pizza hadn't been ordered but she need our order, she apologized and put the order in. The restaurant by that time was not busy and we still waited a long time for the pizza. The pizza dough was rough it scrapped the top of my mouth.

The waiter and service were great. Poor review is because 1) they took my favorite item off the menu, 2) now charge for bread ($5.00, --and it was hard and dry --), butter($1.00 per scoop) oil/vinegar ($1.00), and 3) bottled water which used to be on the table they now charge for as well. my single glass of wine and basic pasta (rigatoni w/red sauce & a bit of sausage) cost me (with tip) $75.00. I'll not be back anytime soon.

This was our second time visiting this restaurant and the experience was great .My wife and I shared the a few appetizers and had the delicious bolognese. The service was very good and we enjoyed sitting outside. We would highly recommend.

Such a fun dinner! Our server, Arlo, was top notch! He made wonderful recommendations, for things we would not have otherwise tried. Arancini, puttanesca pizza, tiramisu. We were not disappointed! I think this location may be overlooked, but everything about it was delightful. Unique table settings and service items, a contemporary, yet classic menu, and did I mention the service? Outstanding! Best limoncello in a long time. Thanks, Nado! Thanks, Arlo!

Food was good but sometimes get the feeling of being upsold. Offered water and bread but never told about a charge for both until the bill came. Waiter kept offering more food, dessert etc. when we said no.

We love Nado. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is our favorite and the fantastic staff. We adore Giorgio and love to have him come to our table to chat. Every time we come to Coronado we are sure to eat here.

Liked the ambiance of the place and our female server was great. Food was just ok. Lobster ravioli was a mousse filling that tasted a bit fishy instead of being rich lump lobster but the vodka sauce was good. The potato croquette appetizer was yummy but cold in the middle. My husband enjoyed the bolognese pasta and it's was nice you could add different toppings to your main dish Food overall was fine but needed more attention.

Food was great - ambiance is improved for outdoor seating since they put in a barrier, but . . . You're still really in a parking lot, so . . . . People were great and so was the chow - enjoy!

Immediately when we arrived we asked for 2 separate checks instead of waiting until the end to ask and make it difficult. We were told “we don't do that here”. This is very annoying considering you use the toast system and it's possible, she just did not feel like it. We felt that she was not attentive as a waiter considering another older woman would pick up the slack and help us. The food was good, but not for the price.

We usually visit San Diego at least once a year. In our travels a few years ago, we came across Nado Republic on Coronado island and had a fantastic dinner there. Since then, we have made a small tradition to eat here when we are in San Diego. Unfortunately, I think that tradition will not continue. It's not because of the food, which still fantastic. Here is what happened: We made a reservation for a late lunch and when asked if we wanted boxes for our leftovers, we told our server that we were about to catch our flight home so we wouldn't need any. Asked for the bill, which was on a handheld electric device without any physical copy of the receipt. He calculated the total, which seemed higher than expected by at least $20. I hadn't kept track of prices of everything we ordered, quickly just paid it along with a 20% tip since he was standing there with this electronic device in his hands. It kept troubling me because we had ordered off the lunch menu, where the prices were slightly cheaper, not every member of my family ordered something, and we had been the only ones in the restaurant. So checked the prices against the dinner menu on their website and could never arrive at the total he quoted me, which was over $25 more. Either Coronado has an incredibly high tax rate of 25% or as I believe, this server, which I believe we have had before and may even be an owner?, knowing we were flying out and knowing he would not be presenting an itemized bill to rent, padded the bill with extra items or charges to increase his tip since we were the only ones there. I can't prove it but it doesn't sit well with me and I don't think next time I will make time for Nado in my plans. If you go, the food is good but check your receipt carefully!

This was our first time at Nardo and we were not disappointed. From when we arrived until we left the service was top notch. The food was top quality. The Strawberry Salad fresh and flavorful. My husband is a puttanesca freak so he chose the pizza...it didn't disappoint . I enjoyed the Rigatoni with sausage and mushrooms in a crème sauce . We topped it off with a Tiramisu to die for..... the outdoor seating was inviting and the indoor decore is unique. The background music was pleasing to the ear. We will return on our next trip to continue our culinary delight.

We went here for a girls night and to celebrate a birthday and we had a fantastic time. No complaints at all. The food and service was amazing and the covered patio was super cute. Will definitely return here and I highly recommend it for birthdays.
