Hon Machi Sushi & Cocktails

Happened upon this place because the brewery we came to visit wasn't open yet. Hon Machi was all that and a bag of chips. Their lunch specials and happy hour specials were legit. The sushi was awesome. Fresh sushi grade fish and sticky rice, no mayo added, and the crab puffs were bomb as well as the Las Vegas roll. Sorry no photos because it was that good.

Good food and they have gluten free soy sauce! A decent amount of gluten free selections, just wish the jalapeno poppers were coated in rice flour instead of breading so they would be gluten free.

Really good gyoza and the sushi is very good.

Place has a great atmosphere and the sushi is fresh. Also the rolls are not overly bearing with rice like some other places. Will be my go to spot for sushi

At Hon Machi Sushi & Cocktails in Chandler, a Sept. 26 inspection found raw pork and chicken were stored above vegetables, fish cakes, and other fish in the refrigerator. There was no chlorine in the dishwasher. And the inspector noted, "a buildup of food debris and grease under various pieces of equipment, floor drains and walls behind equipment throughout the establishment."

The Sashimi boat far passed my expectations and the fresh wasabi will blow you away I didn't know that's what fresh Wasabi was like

Came for an early dinner with my wife. I ordered a few deep fried sushi rolls and my wife ordered yakisoba. We had a fairly long wait for food to come out, but once it did, my order was excellent. My wife wasn't as happy. She was pulling on large chunks of beef like rubber bands, and she complained of a vinegar taste. We took the rest home and the next day, I had it for lunch. I had better feelings towards it than my wife, but the flavor was different from traditional yakisoba. I still enjoyed it. I think reheating the beef also cooked it a little longer and tenderized it a little, because the plasticity was gone.

I would give this place a second chance, however my wife will not go with me when I do. The ratings I gave were from my perspective only.
