What a hidden gem! Love this place because of the variety and it tastes delicious. Price can’t be beat either!!
You have to try this place, the food is sooo good!!! It’s authentic Taiwanese food, even though the name is a little misleading. We had the beef noodle soup and the stinky tofu and absolutely loved both! The owners were incredibly fun, charismatic, and genuinely kind. We really enjoyed meeting them and will definitely be coming back!
Friendly service, fresh and clean food, and plenty of variety beyond sushi. The portions are very generous, making it well worth the visit. You won't be disappointed; I’ll be back often.

Sheng Sushi is a hidden gem inside the small food court of 99 Ranch Market, offering authentic Taiwanese food despite the name. The food is so good, with fresh and clean food and plenty of variety beyond sushi. The portions are very generous, and the beef noodle soup is one of the best, with tender and tasty beef in huge servings large enough for two persons. The hot spicy beef noodle soup is the best in the USA. Other highlights include the stinky tofu, Taiwan Fried Pork Chop, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, calamari, and xiao long bao—soft dumplings filled with juicy, savory broth. Everything is delicious and full of flavor, reminding one of food in Ximending. The owners are incredibly fun, charismatic, and genuinely kind, with friendly service. The food feels very authentic, and the popcorn chicken is crispy, well-seasoned, and perfectly fried. This place is well worth the visit, and highly recommended for an authentic Taiwanese cuisine experience.
