We ordered takeout from Yama sushi House. The food was very good. The portions were very small compared to other places. I tried the baked scallop roll in hopes that it would taste like sakanas, (rip sakanas) but it was sweet and just 'ok'. The hot night roll was delicious.
I'll give this place the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure it's amazing. I get that my SO ordered on Valentine's Day and that there will be a wait. One of the people complained to the gentleman at the front about why the order is taking a while to make. He seemed to try to give a reason for why it's taking so long. The customer seemed disgruntled with the answer. It was busy and tables still seemed empty with only drinks. I feel like they could've given...
First impressions was not great. Unfortunately they couldn’t accommodate our reservation. Not sure what happened but we had a confirmed reservation and when we arrived, they did not have our table ready and wouldn’t be ready. They offered us bar seats only. We were hungry and the sushi was good, but I’d just go to Shimugamo instead for amazing food, amazing atmosphere and reservations that are honored.
