Copper Spike Cafe is the restaurant connected to the Verde Canyon RXR. If you buy a ticket for a 2-hour ride through the Copper Canyon, A lunch from Copper Spike Cafe is included.
The double cheese and bacon burgers were substantial in size but barely room temperature since they were precooked and piled in a tray.
My wife ordered a grilled cheese sandwich which was not in much better shape than the burger. I also purchased a couple of $1.00 bags of M&Ms. Well $1.00 at the grocery store, $3.00 each at the station.
You fill your own drinks outside at the beverage station.
Bottom line it is a cafeteria line that serves food cooked then left in a pile under, or near a heat lamp. Served at room temperature and near flavorless except for any condiments you might add from tinfoil packages.
Nothing to write home about.

Good food for the price. Better than you would expect for a captive audience restaurant.

Try to eat before you come to get on the train. The burger is very dry and cold. French fries were decent. Good for putting something in your stomach.
