I don't drink beer ( wait, keep reading! ) but the place was so inviting we came in. They have sodas (Arizona ice tea and Coke products) and water if you don't want alcohol. My partner enjoyed a few beers (Love is Brewing IPA and Main Street Blonde, a Blonde Ale). He was happy with them. He likes Sierra Nevada on tap, if that helps decide if you have similar taste buds. Again, I don't partake in beer but their selection is good and service is outstanding. We had food from the food truck outside called Sidewalk Grill: the double burger and fries was delicious. They had live music on our visit. The place is dog friendly. One last thing I remembered ... they have crowlers, growlers in a can? to go.

Good beer puzzling service. Initial order for drinks went fine. Wanted to order some food but no one came back to see if we wanted to order anything else. After 5 or 10 minutes went to the bar to say we'd like to order some food. Response was OK, but the server never came to the table. So another member of our party went to ask about ordering food. She was told it was a separate business and we had to order from them. No problem, but why weren't we given that info the first time?

Forget Cornville and Cottonwood, this is the best place to stop for a beer in the Verde Valley.

So my all time favorite is their sluice box , a blueberry cheesecake sour. I can't even put into words how much I enjoy this sour. I counted 16 taps, so I am sure there is a favorite for you as well. Of note each description truly defines the beer. If it is described as vanilla, chocolate, or toffee; you will definitely detect the flavor. Added bonus, the pretzel bites are awesome, but if you're really hungry there are a variety of food trucks throughout the week. Also the brewery has a cool vibe that speaks to the history of this mining town.

So glad I tried this brewery! It was everything I was looking for. Tried two flights as I'd never had any of their brews before, and settled on a pint of the milkshake IPA and got it in a crowler to go also. I'll visit everytime I'm in the area from now on!

We took a quick trip to Clarkdale from Dead Horse State Park to check out this brewery. The staff was friendly and the place had a cool clean vibe inside. The patio is small, very little room for a party greater than 2; however, they do allow pets the patio. The server offered my dog a bowl of water, but I had brought my own - the offer was nice. I was really looking forward to the beer cheese, considering this is a brewery, and found myself disappointed because the cheese was very watered down. The flavor was good, but the consistency was disappointing. I understand cost for everything is high, yet as a customer eating out I'm really looking for quality - I would have not blinked to pay a fair price increase to have thick cheese that hugged my pretzel bites. We tried the blonde brew and the Hefeweizen - both were tasty.

Awesome brewery. Best beer in NAZ, south of Flagstaff. Building is cool, but the beer - so good!

Second time in the area and second visit. Every beer tasted was very special. The bar has been set very high. When I visit other breweries, Smelter Town Brewery is the standard. Very creative brewmaster, incredibly unique beers.

great place to visit. it is surprisingly crowded for most of my visits. since i am not a local and it is a long trip from most places the crowds there must be locals. the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. their stoud is great. but they did not have cans to go when i was there. a bid of a drive but worth it. if locals like it then so will you
