Scouted this gem out just by researching places outside of Sedona area and reading reviews, and I'm happy to add that this place was terrific. Hands down best chimichanga I've ever had. I am usually a chicken person, but opted for the carne asada, and it was delish! If I wasn't just visiting, this would definitely be my go to place time and time again. :)

If only all restaurants had the level of freshness, quality, and excellence as Juanita’s has. This place is simply the best. I actually kissed the hands of the cook on one of my many visits over the last twelve years. Don’t miss the guac and chips or the shrimp tacos or anything with carne asada, and the salsa bar is the best.

Placed carry-out order for eight and everything was perfect! I often find that with a large order something is missed or not as it should be -- not the case with this order -- everything was spot on! Food was delicious and portions plentiful. Will order again.

The service is always fantastic, super friendly an helpful staff. The food is always fresh, flavorful and exactly what you order. Large portions, a salsa bar to choose your own. The place itself is a little small, they're always pretty busy. I normally order an pick up an their always quick with their orders. Prices are good also.
Vegetarian options: They had a separate spot on their menu for vegetarian options.
Dietary restrictions: They had vegetarian options, options for gluten free, dairy free. If you have any allergies just let them know an theu won't add it. All ingredients are added separately.
Parking: They share a parking area with a gas station. So there's always cars there, they have a smaller building an are normally busy so parking isnt the easiest. I park next door an walk over.
Kid-friendliness: They have a large kids menu, outside seating area.

Juanitas is a home away from home level of home cooked food for me. Their food is some of the most authentic in the Whole Verde Valley.
Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the quality of ingredients is top notch.
I wouldn't hesitate to dine in to fill the fresh Mexican food cravings or carry out.
This is a family favorite for well over a decade, they're like family and always welcoming.
Enjoy! You can never go wrong with tacos, but if you are craving more I highly recommend their Tortas or Machaca Burrito!
