Stopped in on our way home from Flagstaff. Decided to have a drink and dessert at the bar. Lalo was awesome, very personable and made sure we were taken care of. This was our second time at Merkin. We will be back for sure.
Maybe my hopes were too high, but it was just ok for me. We made a reservation for a Friday night, but it really wasn’t busy. There was plenty of room on the beautiful balcony with a view, but we were seated inside for some reason. The food and drinks were good, but not something I would seek out again.
Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria is an absolute masterpiece! The food is incredibly fresh, vibrant, and paired flawlessly with their exceptional wines. What truly took our experience to the next level, though, was our waitress (Jasmine). She was an absolute delight! Not only was she deeply knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients, but she also took the time to give us fantastic recommendations for things to do around town.
