New owner in process of getting installed and he’s great! My family arrived for dinner too late to do sit-down but seeing the kids (both under 5) were hungry he offered to help us out. He earned the hearty tip we gave for the generosity and kindness. Down to earth guy and a hard worker, we had a fun conversation. Food is always spot-on. We’ll be back to hang out with Joshua again and enjoy the pizza. Alpine Pizza is going to be a Flagstaff staple under his leadership.

Service was great, super friendly and quick.The food however - not my cup of tea, or slice of pizza. I didn’t really enjoy the pepperoni pizza or meatball sub. For some reason there were jalapeños in a meatball sub?

Cook messed up the order and apparently threw it in the trash before asking if we minded the mistake according to the waitress. The waitress seemed frustrated with the cook, but she was super nice and apologetic and comped the meal but we waited WELL over and hour. There were only 4 tables occupied including our's so it was super quiet and now I kind of see why...

Apparently they are under new management and it has come along way. We had Rachel and Daisy as our servers. What awesome ladies, so fun! Potato skins were average, but the pizza was fabulous! Establishment is nearly 50 years old and so cool. Check out the pizza by the slice price. Holy cow.

They weren't open an hour after the initial open time. The older gentleman was walking around in bare feet, took our order on a paper plate and was hard to talk to since he can't hear a darn thing.The server made up for it and the pizza was good.Please don't have the older gentleman greeting customers!

Grabbed takeout on my way back to our hotel after walking around town. Owner was closing up, tending to his flowers on the patio and without prompting said he’d be happy to make me a pizza to go. Gave me a lemonade on the house and we got to chatting. He told me he’d been ill the last couple years and the person who had been managing the place for him let it go downhill and even tried to steal it from him. But he beat his illness and is back (and in court against the former manager). So who knows, maybe Alpine is back on the upswing after the many recent negative reviews. All I can report is that I got a solid, well-made pie to take back to my family in our hotel room. Nothing fancy, just good straightforward pizza. And a lovely chat with a guy who is happy to be alive and still have his business intact.
I ordered wings that looked uncooked and mostly made up of fat. My husband and I brought it to the waiters attention, that it didn’t appear to look good enough to eat and would like it sent back. Immediately, the waiter - one with a questionable bowl cut - gave us an attitude. He grilled us with questions as to why, even though we had already explained ourselves. After shoving the plate into our faces multiple times he leaves us alone, but during the conversation he stated he was the manager, only to have the real manager come out and argue with us too. We disagreed about having to pay, we believe we shouldn’t have been charged for untouched and inedible food but ultimately they did charge us for the gross looking wings. We never said we wouldn’t pay and the manager threatened to call the police on us, saying we’re “defrauding an innkeeper.” The waiter, Danny R., disrespectfully slammed the check on the table. We didn’t ask for to go boxes because we knew we would’ve been denied. We followed up with the cops and they disregarded the pizza owner’s complaint - who did call and waste police officers’ time. Lastly, the place looked gross.

So our favorite Pizza establishment in Flagstaff finally reopened! They are still waiting on liquor license to be reinstated but pizza is as great as I remember! Hurry up with your wine please!

We were harassed by the staff and owner! The wings came out and looked terrible. They were not crispy and were totally covered in this skin and fat. We didn’t even touch them and asked to send them back. The waiter argued with us about it and said he wasn’t going to take off the cost of the wings because we had ordered them even if we didn’t touch them. After trying to explain to him why we felt it was inappropriate that we be charged for them we finally gave in and told him it was fine, we would pay for them, just throw them away. We continued to eat our pizza we had also ordered (which was fine) and then someone else came out who said he was the owner. He tried to argue with us about the wings as well, even though we had already said we would pay for them and that we didn’t want to eat them. After arguing with us for a while he left and then came back again with the plate of wings they still hadn’t thrown away! He asked us to show him the fat we were talking about and why we didn’t want them because he had owned that restaurant for 30 years or something and that the chef had been there for 20 years and no one had ever tried to send back the wings (I highly doubt that). We showed him the thick soggy skin and fat which was literally covering almost the entirety or each wing. He then continued to argue with us and said he was calling the police. We asked him for what and he didn’t not answer. We continued eating and the waiter came out and slammed our check down on the table and walked away. A couple minutes later the owner came back out and was on the phone and said that he had two people out here and described what we were wearing and then he went back inside. When we finished eating we went inside to pay our FULL check and he said he called the police on us. When I asked him what for he said we were “defrauding an innkeeper.” We paid our full check, got our receipt and left. I have NEVER been treated anything close to the way I was treated there by any establishment. We are local to Flagstaff and will NEVER return there. Do not go to this restaurant!
