“Hands down — can’t remember ever having better coffee anywhere, including lots of international locales! The staff were friendly and thoughtful (check out the swan on my mocha). Yesterday we had the southwest breakfast burrito and fruit, yogurt and granola. I was a little hesitant with the burrito because of some of the non-traditional ingredients, and boy was my skepticism thrown out the window! The burrito was excellent, as was the yogurt/fruit/granola. Today we had more coffee (of course) and a cheddar scallion house-made scone that was also quite delectable!
I’d love to know their secret for the smooth and creamy lattes and mochas. The beans? The grind? The freshness? Did you know that they are a micro-roaster?! Maybe it’s all of that, and then being made by employees who care and are clearly proud of where they are and what they do!
Sorry I forgot to take pics before chowing down and relishing our food yesterday!“

“I enjoyed Alejandra's shop during a stop on a long drive from TX to NV having organic coffee, cacao & buying some salsa. It all tasted delicious and I appreciated the taste tests. Because I'm in the RE & development industry, I always like to banter with local folks about this when I travel. So we got to talking about the local area and I was glad to hear Alejandra having interest in responsible urban planning. We shared info about tiny house communities, the book 'A Pattern Language' and an Arizona/Mexico pursuit in the Chiricahua Mountains to control erosion and encourage plant growth for ecological succession with techniques like trincheras, gabions and check dams. Mayan Winds cafe is a great spot to relax and talk about important topics. For my next time in Flagstaff I hope we can continue the chat about this interesting city, AZ and all of the Southwest.
