Great restaurant with lots of choices for everyone. Must have been at least a dozen or more vegan options. We got the Vegan Guinness Stew Pasty and the Vegan Carne Adovada Pasty. So good and filling. Good beer menu as well. Also had outdoor patio so we could bring our dog. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-15
Great tasting pasty and great service.
The place is really dark inside. They were out of a few of the pasties we tried to order, but that wasn't really a big deal for me. Pasties are made the same as they are advertised, so what you order on the menu is what you will get, no substitutions. I'm kind of a picky eater so this did not help me in my decision. My parents love this place and I enjoyed the service but I don't know that I will return.

We went on a Friday evening and had to park very far away and walk in. It’s in the downtown which is very pedestrian friendly, but difficult to find parking.
Service was friendly and quick. We sat outside which was not too loud. They had infrared heaters so we didn’t get too cold.
We had the Oggie with red wine gravy, which was excellent. We also had the bangers and mash, which had a strange taste in the mashed potatoes. The pastry for both was very good.

The pasties are good, the service is better, the bar looks really good but I did not have a drink this visit.
Pasties are a little pricey at about 17 to $20 each.
Honestly they are worth it...
If you have a preference for pasties, this is well worth a stop and treat for your palate.

Omg, why does this place not have five stars? It is absolutely amazing. The pasties are basically like a pot pie and a stromboli made love. They are absolutely perfect. My husband had the bankers and mash and I had the French dip pasty. The mushroom, spinach, walnut soup....what? A-mazing and the bread they served with it was amazing. There was not a bad bite on any plate that we had. This place deserves five stars!

Little church pews, delicate flaky pastries and an amazing array of flavors! I especially liked that it was vegetarian and vegan friendly! We had the Shepard's pie (with lamb) and Vegan Vindaloo (with broccoli and veggies). Beer selection solid!

The food is always great at every Cornish pasty I’ve been to my disappointment with this location was the restroom, while I understand staff can’t control idiots writing on the walls it was incredibly offensive and should be removed! Really made the whole experience a bit crappy for me and made me not want to come back.

Really top-notch, one of a kind pasty place. I wish we had one of these in the whole Bay Area (Peasant Pies doesn't compare). The crust is perfect and the vegan meats are especially good... after the first bite of the Cubano I was like wait did they mess up and give me real chicken? But after the second bite it was recognizable as jackfruit, just expertly prepared.

Jackfruit Cubano, Impossible Hatch chili cheeseburger... just top-notch, one-of-a-kind stuff

The food and service were both amazing! Had to have a scotch egg and it was pretty good, just wasn’t a fan of the mustard it was served with. Both of us loved our pastys; I got the Italian and my husband ordered a salmon one. It was a cool, laid back vibe inside with good music and they had a really nice patio outback.
