Cracker Barrel is one of our most favorite restaurants, we love the food, and the staff is always so helpful and kind. The store has so many beautiful items, I love it and always come out with something. I wish there were more in California. We moved to Visalia and wished we had one here.

Food tasted like a nursing home soup kitchen. Was bumbed by the prices and lack of flavor. The service was quick and sweet. Still love the authentic feel. Just hope they step it up with the food.

Today I went to this restaurant in Flagstaff, I am a tourist and I felt uncomfortable in this place by one of the people who work here in the cashier area
Peach cobbler is served in a small bowl with 2 flaky wafers next to it. That is not a cobbler. Tasted weird too. Something in the fruit sauce.
I attempted to bring my 2 kids here for dinner. They didn't have kid's menus and didn't tell us either. After searching for the kids menu on the adult menu I asked the waitress and she said they didn't have any. She then said she would recite the menu(pretty sure weights and measures requires a menu with advertised prices). Waitress then came back and asked my daughter what she wanted without reciting the menu. Then she told my daughter to read the sides in the menu. If Cracker Barrell doesn't want kids in their restaurants, they should probably have a sign outside. We just left since the waitress didn't seem interested in helping us in any way.

Picked up food to go. We were disappointed with the quality of the food - the biscuits and cornbread were hard and both the green beans and the turnip greens had no taste. We have always enjoyed the meals we have gotten to go in the past and were surprised by how tasteless the food was.

To be honest the service has kind of been going downhill there for a hot minute. Yesterday was just dumb. I usually go in when there are very few people and yesterday was no exception. I asked for a breakfast menu, and table facing the fireplace. A favorite experience there. Up walks this person who seemed like seating me was the last thing they wanted to do, including exasperated sigh upon walking up to me.
There were a couple tables to choose from. I asked for a specific one because it was clean, had a better view of the fire place than the one I was sat at. My view was obscured by a family of 4. The table right next to me was clean and ready and about the same size. Would have been fine. The other one I spied would have been great and again I was told no. The person told me that they were going on some sort of schedule and that they wanted to save that for a group (plenty of other group sized tables around me). It was the same size as the table I was sat at. I didn't see a reason for it. 15 minutes later someone else sits there and didn't seem to be interested in the view. another 5 and someone takes the seat right next to me. All in all, there was no need for them to argue over where I sat as it all seemed so arbitrary. And the more I questioned it, the more they got irritated. I wasn't being rude or the like, they just seemed like they didn't want to be seating me in the first place and made sure I knew with this insistent adherence to their arbitrary pattern. Given a lunch menu after I asked for a breakfast one. No biggie, I walked up and grabbed a breakfast one. angry look for doing so from the person who sat me down originally. From that point on every time they looked at me, they had a look on their face like I said something wrong.
So, the food was great. Every bite. They goofed on part of it but immediately made right on it and the waitress was AWESOME!
But...my dear friends...if there are several tables of the same size that are clean and someone comes in and asks for one...just sit them there. The aesthetic is 50% of the experience and I love coming there. This has been a growing problem. Maybe just talk to the folks there about how they can sublimate the experience.

Seriously, terrible service and food. 15 minutes to order drinks, 25 minutes to get drinks, 50 minutes to get food. I can honestly say this was the first time I ever had stale, oil saturated hash browns.
As I was getting up to leave due to taking too long, the food finally came out. Then we waited 10 minutes to get our check. Flagstaff, AZ
I noticed no staff wore stars on their aprons. I can only assume that was to signify the level of service they offer.

Unfortunately, breakfast early in the morning was not possible because RVs are not allowed to park there. So I and the others who were chased away late in the evening will not go to Cracker Barrel again, because the chain probably doesn't need any customers. Sad.

Food was just ok. All of our bacon was barely cooked, almost translucent looking. All of our sodas were flat. When my wife sent hers back our waitress looked annoyed. We were forewarned by our waitress that she was “scatterbrained” so my food may not come out all at once?! Um, ok. Pardon me if I’d like to eat my breakfast all together. It was just a mediocre experience which was disappointing.

Total bill came out to $80 for 2 people, expensive for what the food was.
