Evans Fish and Chips

Stopped into Evans Fish n Chips for a late lunch and this place absolutely delivered. I tried the Rainbow Trout ’n Chips (a first for me) and I’d order it again in a heartbeat; crispy, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The Cod ’n Chips was incredible too; buttery, flaky, and paired with real, fresh-cut chips done exactly how they should be.

I went with the White Dragon sauce (jalapeño tartar), and it was fire. Even my wife, who normally won’t touch tartar sauce, was all about it.

And the final touch? They serve it over newspaper print, just like the spots at the docks in Grimsby Town, England. Love when a place gets the details right.

If you’re anywhere near Flagstaff, this should be on your list.

Took forever to have order taken and they have no business having “gluten free” fish when they won’t safely prepare it. Staff is rude and have random people who aren’t working there going into the kitchen. We did not even end up eating what we ordered because the non worker touched it. But the girl was so rude didn’t feel like she would give us a refund. If you’re the owner your staff complains about you in front of customers. Very unprofessional. Definitely won’t be back. Hope they get shut down because I’m sure they’ve made plenty of people sick consider it says in reviews that they have a dedicated fryer but the girl who was working said that is not the case.

Battered sausage and chips along with a sticky toffee pudding if they had it was my go to order. Very good flavor and a good amount of food for the price.

A must try when you visit flagstaff! It's just a small little place but you can tell it's good since people wait in line for it. Definitely one of the best we've had, especially the shrimp! It was done perfectly! Loved the white sauce that came with it.

Best fish and chips we have had in years. Real British fish and chips. Everything was perfect including the chips. Definitely try the white dragon and curry sauce. This is now a go to for us when we are in Flagstaff

The veggie pot pie was AWEmazing! Super cute and unique local run spot for late night snacks as well as lunch and dinner!

Got some fish and chips here last night at the suggestion of the local meadery. Was very satisfied with the food here. The tartar sauce was delicious and definitely made in house. Loved the sticky toffee pudding. We split the cod combo and it was definitely plenty of food for 2 people. This was better than some of the fish and chips spots that we went to in London! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for some comfort food in Flagstaff.

Great food! An amazing little spot and cans of pop for only $1 🙌. Super chill staff and atmosphere and fast, hot and delicious. Will be back a LOT. (Edit: I have been back a lot! Everything is always crisp and it always smells good because they keep their oil clean. The sticky toffee pudding is a steal and incredible.) Recommend for sure.

Evans is a classic chippy... Fish (however you like it) and wedged potato fries in a box with a bit of sauce. Plus a few old world treats like Scotched Eggs and toffee pudding. It's a standing room only place but the staff are great and the fish is even better.

Did late evening take out from here. Trout fish and chips with spicy tartar. It was just awesome. The seller was courteous. Definitely recommend this place.

Watched someone get pinned down and arrested outside at 2 am, got the trout and cod half and half and walked 0.5 miles in heavy rain and it was still hot and crispy. Loved the fries! Would return again.

Traveling through town and saw this, excellent food and service, and loved the One Piece decorations as well.
