Always a great place for a cup of coffee. The baked goods are spectacular as well! Place has been around forever (I remember visiting this place in the late 90s) and there's good reason.

We’re always on the search for great, strong coffee on our trips and this place checked all the boxes! Loved their cold brew so much that we came back in the same hour for another cup 🙌 def worth stopping by!

Macy's has been in Flagstaff forever. It gets very crowded here on weekends. They probably have the best coffee in town. If you have never been, you should go visit!
We had breakfast this visit which was worth going for. Keep in mind that their coffee menu is larger than their food menu.

If you are seeking breakfast with meat, this is not your place. No meat that we saw on the menu. Coffee was good, but they got our order wrong. Limited seating indoors. Was ok. We were planning on dining in but once there we got a coffee to go and went elsewhere.

This was the best coffee I've had in a while. The breakfast sandwich was excellent too

If you are looking for a really good cup of coffee this is your spot. I had the Cafe Viennese and really enjoyed it. Great flavor without being too sweet. They also have gluten and dairy free baked goods.

A Popular Coffeehouse with an Extensive Coffee Menu, but the Food Falls Short

I recently visited Macy’s European Coffeehouse during a trip to Flagstaff. It’s clearly a well-loved local spot, with lines out the door and a bustling atmosphere. The coffee menu is impressive, offering a wide variety of options to satisfy just about any coffee lover. From classic espresso drinks to specialty brews, there’s no shortage of choices when it comes to their coffee offerings.

However, when it came to the food menu, I found it to be limited and underwhelming. While the breakfast items we ordered were enjoyable, there wasn’t the same level of variety or creativity that I saw in the coffee selection. For a café that draws such a large crowd, I expected a bit more on the food side.

Another challenge was seating, which was difficult to find, especially on a cold Sunday morning. With long lines and limited space, it can be a bit of a scramble to secure a table, which might be frustrating for some.

The baristas and staff seemed focused on efficiency, which is understandable given the volume of customers. However, the lack of warmth and friendliness stood out. A small gesture like a friendly greeting or a quick acknowledgment would have gone a long way in making the experience more welcoming.

While Macy’s has a great reputation and I appreciate seeing a local establishment thriving, I personally didn’t feel it lived up to the extensive hype. It’s nice to see a bustling local café, but it wouldn’t be my first choice for a return visit. That said, if you’re a coffee enthusiast, the drink menu alone might be worth checking out.

Took 30 minutes to get a piece of toast that I had to ask twice for. On a Tuesday at 10 am.

First time here, friendly staff, very very busy, small area to wait. I know they were busy but seemed like a long wait for food.

The hot chocolate was excellent - 10/10 one of the best I’ve had. Would love to stop again in the future to try their baked goods.

Love this coffee shop. The baked goods are amazing. We always get the vegetarian biscuits and gravy. It's the best that we have found. The coffee is roasted perfectly in house. The atmosphere is so cute. It's a must go when in Flagstaff. Short hours so plan accordingly.
