Saw a comment about the Chicken fried steak. Drove from Phoenix to Flagstaff with the kido today to try it. Very friendly place. Food was amazing!! Server was great super sweet kind and beautiful...the kinda women you don't forgot. I don't think she realizes how beautiful she is. Younger female server. Food was amazing definitely worth the drive.

I had the cowboy club and it was happy hour. I can't recommend the cowboy club high enough. It was a unique presentation on the classic, using brisket and pulled pork as the meats. Also, they do not advertise for happy hour, but drinks were half off which is a huge added bonus.

Food comes in large portions and it is DELICIOUS. It is a very mom and pop country style diner and it is just such a good vibe. Our server was great. There is a back room where they do dances on certain days and there is a pool table.

I loved the Smoked BBQ ribs, sauce is pretty good, desserts are tasty , they could up their game with the side but over all pretty good food. The service was excellent 👍🏽

On our way from Grand Canyon to Flagstaff we found this inviting, authentic diner and it was exactly what we needed to make
our day a perfect one. The food (we had Burgers) was authentic, made from stratch, and super delicious.
We had one of their giant cinammon rolls to go and had it when we got home. It was aweseome.
What made it the perfect experience was the service, which truely stood out with genuine friendliness.
We would choose this local gem over generic franchise eateries any day.

Huge parking! Cafe is pretty small, super tiny restroom and little outdated and dirty. But beautiful location and awesome service! Hash browns with eggs were super delicious! Very low ceiling. Old style good traveler's Cafe with average cofee

I stop in for breakfast going between Colorado and Cave Creek whenever I can, food is typical cafe food but delicious. Cinnamon rolls are huge and delicious.
Well I’ve ate here before and the food was pretty good. This time I didn’t get any food, my wife and I were greeted at the door and told “sit where your comfy” we chose a booth with some dirty tables surrounding us. After 20 minutes the tables remained dirty and we had yet to receive a menu. Went to the bathroom, where I decided there toilet cleaner must be broke and the floor is an odd place to store toilet paper. On my way to our table I saw the waitresses busy on their phones, we then decided to leave. On our way out the door the waitress was nice enough to tell us to have a good day. If you would like a place to sit and use a questionably sanitary restroom, you’ve found your place.

We arrived 20 minutes before closing, they still gave us an amazing service, and the food was great
My husband and I are fairly new to Flag and were told that we must eat at Mary’s Café. We were having a lovely Saturday and decided to finally pop in. We ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast and we’re drooling just waiting for it. 45 minutes later, after watching many people come and go, we asked our server if everything was ok, knowing she forgot to put our order in and was avoiding us at all cost. She got defensive and made up lie after lie that it was the chefs fault, he dropped the ticket and didn’t see it, etc…
We have both worked in hospitality before I know exactly what happened. We were gonna stick it out, except her attitude was so awful, we literally lost our appetite and left. We wasted almost an hour of our time, sipping water.
We never got her name but she’s a young Caucasian with glasses and green hair. We understand that people are human, and everyone makes mistakes, but her attitude was uncalled for and completely unprofessional, especially in the customer service in hospitality industry. For an establishment that has such a reputation and as a business owner, I would most certainly want to know what’s going on and that’s the sole purpose of this review.
Its 'the' chicken fried steak place every town has but very clean and huge portions. Great cross section of local clientele, nothing pretentious allowed.
Brought here by my Dad for the first time in the 80s and its still the same great breakfast spot. Delicious food and great service by friendly staff. A true hidden gem of Flagstaff.
