The now defunct root was home to the best brunch in flagstaff, there was not a thing on their menu that was less than delish. Sad to see this go, but indicative of the flag staff food scene.

1st time in town, was looking for a culinary experience, and boy did we find it at Root Public House. Atmosphere warm and inviting. Server knowledgeable and friendly. I had 5 spice boneless ribs. They were tender and the sauce was amazing. Carrot cake dessert had a different layout but was exceptional. My tastebuds were very happy here! Highly recommend 5 star!!

Casual dining with great dishes. I came here for dinner and every dish was flavourful and light.

I am long overdue in writing this review. Last year - Nov 2018 (I know, I know) we ate a pre fixe Thanksgiving dinner here and the charcuterie board was incredibly unique and delicious with the most amazing homemade crackers and cheese selections. The food was perfectly prepared, great wine list plus they source locally and the service was friendly and super accommodating. Our meal was divine. Fantastic atmosphere, a memorable evening on a special day...If I lived nearby, I would be there frequently for a drink and nosh. Thank you Root Public House!

Excellent food and service! The burger, meatballs, and wings were great! You can tell that it is homemade food with unique flavors.

This place has tremendous potential and I think the only thing stopping them from making about 10 times as much money as they do today is the trees North of them that block views of the San Francisco Peaks. Those trees are actually stuck between two buildings and truly serve no purpose for those buildings except as a risk to crush their roofs during a heavy snowfall or wind storm. if they could convince those people to take down those trees perhaps even getting them once a week for the rest of their lives then this business would see business increase by 1,000% I'd almost guarantee that!

Stopped in after a long bike ride and based on the trendy decor I assumed the portions would be small but I was wrong. The portions are great, the service is awesome and the view on the patio is very nice. Our party enjoyed the food very much especially the potato salad which had the proper amount of dill in it unlike most places that serve bland tasteless potato salad.

The food was good, drinks were small and just ok, staff was not attentive (with the exception of our server), but the musical guest was very good. Place is was too casual all around for my taste.

Great food and service. Came here for brunch on a Saturday, sat in the rooftop dining area. They allow well behaved dogs. I had a cocktail, something with pickle juice and it was really delicious! Pricing typical of this part of Flag. Will definitely come back again.

Nice cozy place, I had a burger and a caesar salad, both delicious. The atmosphere is chilled, with dim lights and a non-pretentious style. The staff is competent and friendly. Would go again and I recommend it.

Super cute place but it's really missing something. The menu is ok.. I kinda expected better for the ambiance.. the roof patio needs help.
