The chef and food was good. However, our server was not as attentive as I would've liked. Overall, it was nice.
This was a welcome addition to our holiday spent in the Grand Canyon. It was really quiet at the teppanyaki tables but we had a good couple joining our table of 4. We had good conversation and the chef, Bobby, was very entertaining and cooked a delicious dinner. Our server was a bit slow for some things but he did an ok job. Food was very good and fair price for this type of meal.
I was incredibly disappointed with my recent visit to Sakura. After being seated at the teppanyaki table and already ordering from the bar and starting our meal, the manager came over and asked us to move to accommodate a party of four that showed up late to their reservation and didn’t want to be split up.
We already had a running bill and were fully settled when the request was made. It was uncomfortable, disruptive, and honestly unacceptable. We were seated first—we should never have been asked to move to make someone else more comfortable.
It showed a complete lack of respect for our time and experience. I won’t be returning.
So much fun! Went for a birthday dinner. So much food, had tons for leftovers. Steak and chicken were very tasty.
I come up to Flagstaff for work pretty often and every time I stay at the Hilton, I make sure to grab dinner at Sakura. I’ve had the pleasure of being waited on by Anthony. He’s always upbeat and super attentive, which I really appreciate. Bobbi, the chef, has cooked for me several times and always brings great energy along with amazing food. The atmosphere and hospitality these two bring really make the experience special. Highly recommend stopping by for dinner and enjoying yourself.
Not much ambiance but the food is fresh and very good. Service was just ok but not very attentive. The chef was very nice but slow. Since food is cooked with veggies first by the time you get your protein the rest of the food was cold.
Came here for my sisters birthday and omg it was such an amazing experience!! One of the best hibachi experiences we have ever had. We had pearl as our hibachi chef and she made our night. Everyone was so nice to us. 10/10
Lovely, conversational staff. Great food, solid simple drinks. Great location for celebrating or even just a fun interactive evening out. Staff worked really well with us having a big party with some last minute cancellations too. I've enjoyed every time I've come here.
Our chef (Chris) did not disappoint. He put on a very nice "show" as he prepared our meals. Each diner's order was meticulously managed to meet each one's preference. The quality of the food was outstanding, seasoned just right and very flavorful. The prices for the meals is in line with most Teppanyaki venues, so a decent value overall.
Lindsey’s one of the best servers we’ve ever had and Pearl’s cooking and conversation made our night!
Ask for them both if you go!

There was so much sauce and seasoning it was hard to taste what you were eating but for the most part I enjoyed the food the service was great the atmosphere is just too close together you can almost touch the person next to you it's a bit too much for me but if the food's good I guess it's worth it it's nice to have a dimly lit romantic to each its own thanks for your time
A Teppanyaki spot that offers not one, but two vegetarian teppan dishes, fresh veggies, and a variety of fun sauces that complement the flavor of the food! Every chef we’ve met has been excellent.
Great service
Our chef was honestly bad at cooking and didn't follow our instructions for how we wanted the meat cooked. I don't even know how to express how disappointed we were. My parents were visiting me from Japan, and we chose this place to celebrate Mother's Day but it turned into the worst dining experience of my whole life. If you want to enjoy teppanyaki, just go to Japan. They'll give you meals you'll never forget.
We came to celebrate an NAU graduate and this venue was perfect for our group of 6! The staff was so friendly, the chef was fun and the food delicious. I very fun, entertaining evening!
