We had dinner here on the recommendations of our friends who live in Sedona and met us here when we were staying in Flagstaff. I could not have been more pleased: excellent food and very friendly professional service. We had duck and trout and a to die for over the top chocolate brownie dessert. In addition, excellent wine selection: we had a delicious French pinot noir.

A consistently excellent restaurant in Flagstaff, Tinderbox a little bit of everything right now has never disappointed us. The food is excellent and the presentation is quite good. We have had Vivian weight on our table and visors on Wine’s several times and she is always a plus. Recommended!

My wife and I had dinner at the Tinderbox at 7:45pm on August 18th. Our reservation was later than we normally like to eat but as it turned out the timing was perfect. The earlier rush was over and our waitress was very personable and helpful with the menu. To start, we had the Roasted Garlic appetizer--delicious. My wife had the Yukon Potato Gnocchi and she enjoyed every bite. I had the Duck Two Ways and it was delicious also. I had a very nice glass of Pinot Noir by the glass to accompany my duck dish. For dessert, they were offering a new dessert entree and that was an Almond Cream Croissant--it was to die for! A very enjoyable evening; a wonderful dinner and a solid 4+ star restaurant. Highly recommended and we would return.

Our last night of our annual hiking week, and - after missing this place due to Covid- we enjoyed a great dinner tonight. From the moment we were greeted by the host to signing the guest book, everything was wonderful. The mozzarella and Brie to start with, mussels to follow…..and there was no room left for more than one large plate. We picked the pork loin! Definitely a great ambience and a place to share different plates.

5 star dining. Excellent service, food , and ambiance. We enjoyed our celebration dinner at Tinderbox. Our waitress was very polite, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our evening special. One of the BEST restaurants in Flagstaff.

We were visiting Flagstaff and looking for a nice place for dinner. We stopped in and they asked if we had a reservation. We said no and they said they could seat us in an hour and took our cell number. At 8:40 pm they called to say they had made an error and could not seat us that night. Most restaurants close at 9 leaving us in a pinch.

We had a wonderful meal here. The service was excellent, as was the food. The cuisine is equal to anything one can find in New York or San Francisco, innovative without being pretentious . We highly recommend it.

Came her for dinner and noticed the décor and atmosphere have changed. Looks so much better and loving the vibes. Got settled in with local beer for hubby whilst I tried their Californian white (absolutely lovely). Hubby's starter was Brie whilst I opted for the almonds and olives combo. Great start to dinner. Hubby decided to have the Iberico pork and I ordered the Chicken. Both dishes were beatifically presented, and absolutely delicious. We did not have room for dessert but what an amazing dinner to end our visit to Flagstaff. Thank you for a memorable experience.

The roasted garlic as a starter is TO DIE FOR! The drinks are perfection. I wish they had a slightly better selection of beer. Only 3. I’d recommend something like Stella. The Pork Belly was perfectly cooked BUT the sauce was average and didn’t match the description in my opinion. We didn’t get a main because we had eaten a big lunch. The portions of the starters are very small though so most people would want to get a main.

We loved this place! I am celebrating my 78th birthday. I have been to many fine restaurants- Paris, New York, Buenos Aires, Santa Fe - never have I had better service or food. Vegetables were prepared to perfection, Lemon Madelines for dessert were exceptional. If you are so fortunate to get Charlie as a waiter, tip him well. He’s made the evening a memorable event .

This place blew my expectations out of the water!! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the friendliest staff, and it stayed that way the entire night. The staff is so knowledgeable, you can clearly see that they are passionate about what they do there. The food is out of this world good, and the cocktail creations were so different and fun. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

We ate at 2 highly rated restaurants in town that fell flat. Then we ate here and were blown away. Everything was perfection. The room is beautiful and the manager and his staff are pros. The food is inventive without being overly ambitious. Drinks and Wine are top rate. Worth every penny!!!!

The evening exceeded expectations at all levels. From the ambiance, vibe and music trak at just the right volume to the great service led by Charlie as our server to the amazing combination of flavors with every dish. This is a great find and highly recommend it. We are in Sedona regularly and will make the trip up to enjoy this terrific restaurant.
