First time there with my husband and we loved it. Highly recommend
Can't wait to go back! Will remember this place for a long time up come.
This was a real disappointment to say the least. Service and food was horrible. And…, we were charged separately for everything. OVER PRICED. And our server Mk P was not too helpful. She was unsure of what was going on (like first day on job). We ordered Eggs (basted), biscuits, and gravy, (the gravy had a plastic taste to it). The whites in my eggs were runny and it took forever for the cook to make them again. Whoever was cooking or in charge did not know how to make basted eggs! And… it took forever to get them back and they still missed it. At least the whites were done and not runny. NOT IMPRESSED!!! I had to eat my entire breakfast off separate plates as they were brought from the kitchen to our table where my wife and I were sitting. I thought I was eating a progressive breakfast, if you know what I mean.
I saw a sign that said… “everything in here is for sale.” Maybe the owner should sale the restaurant to someone that know how to do it better (RIGHT). I will never be back, nor would I recommend this place to anyone. SORRY. “THE TOASTED OWL CAFÉ (East Flagstaff, AZ.) IS BURNT TOAST FOR ME. ☹
Unfortunately we didn’t get to eat here. Their hours are listed as open until 2pm, however they stop taking customers at 1:40. We arrived at exactly 1:40.
Driving from Texas to California, stopped here for breakfast - lunch. Daughter - in law and grandkids are vegan. My son, husband and I are not. They have both options for kids too. I had fried chicken burger w/fries and husband had regular burger.Son had build tacos. Kids and daughter had vegan breakfast wrap, pancakes and eggs w/potatoes. All very good 😊
It was five years ago since I last made the previous review. A lot has changed since then.
Overall, I have to say Toasted Owl 🦉 improved much ! As a restaurant, the ambiance is still excellent and food much improved. Went from burnt 🥵 to extremely good 👍🏻. Fallen feather 🪶 to a Flying Owl 🦉
No longer are the breakfast something to look to end, but something to go back to. An enjoyable experience, not a dreadful one.
What I said back then was absolutely true, but what I’m saying now is also true.
Breakfast lunch or any occasion with friends or family I would absolutely recommend to come to this place.
Delicious, great food 🥘!!!!!! Now a 13/10
Food was delicious
Such a cute place. Service was tops and food was so good!
What a sparkling diamond! 💎 The owl theme with the vintage store atmosphere made me feel right at home. The swag lamps and chandeliers and delicious food make it a cozy cafe. It’s also child friendly with the decor and the owl selfie station. Highly recommend! It’s a definite must stop for the visitor to the area.
We went there on a whim and was delighted to discover a treasure😊. The service was impeccable with Joe and the Breakfast was fantastic. Great job and continuing success 🙌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent service, very delicious and well served food. The only detail is that they already charge you the tip and include it in the ticket when paying.

They have a separate vegan menu with a good assortment of breakfast and lunch. Most breakfast dishes include Just Egg and a choice of Vegan bacon, chorizo, or chicken. My partner got the burrito with chorizo which he said was drier than he expected. The shwarma fries were delicious. I got the breakfast bowl which was actually a lot of food and I had to take some to-go to eat later. The chicken was some grilled variety that did not add much to the dish. Overall the food and selection were excellent.
Pretty inconsistent, sometimes the food is really good and sometimes it’s pretty rough. Coffee is usually burnt. The decor is creepy.

Not enough staff. Food had no flavor at all! The French toast had an awful taste. Wished we should have stopped at cracker barrel instead.
