We visited Tinderbox this past weekend for the first time, the atmosphere was intimate and cozy. The food was so good, I paused eating after the first bite. We will make sure to come here every time we visit flagstaff. Thank you for the amazing experience

Was staying in Flagstaff for a few days and I wanted to enjoy a fine dinning experience while I was in town and Tinderbox kitchen was on multiple lists of must eat restaurants for fine dinning or an intimate date night. The dinning area is small, so highly recommended to make reservations. We had a wonderful table up front and enjoyed some people watching while dinning. First thing I need to mention is the wine list! The selections fir a smaller establishment were phenomenal it was difficult to choose. The sommelier they had on location the night I was there was phenomenal! I would 100% trust any wine selection she would make for me. Wish I could remember her name to give a shout out but she did claim she was a level 1. Definitely knows her stuff!! On to the food! We had a charcuterie and some frog legs to get things started. The bread on the charcuterie board was amazing! A good selection of cheeses and a great spread with it all. The frog legs were interesting, Id only had them once before and do not remember enjoying them as much as I did these. My main dish was the duck breast with potatoes and Brussel sprouts the duck was cooked to perfection and the char grilled sprouts paired nicely with the Duck. My bottle of Pinot Noir was a great addition to every course. Cannot say enough about the selection of wine this restaurant has. Great atmosphere for a date night or a fine dinning experience in Flagstaff!

The food here was amazing— pretty penny but worth it! We ordered the 5 course meal, FYSA the price is per person and not split, we didn’t even think to ask about it but it was delicious, just a bit expensive! Service was wonderful and again; food was delicious.

The food and service is excellent. The interior is dark and lacks imagination. It doesn't match the level of food and service. Definitely needs a rework on the interior, even changing the color would make a huge difference.

Barb, the Barbtender, was amazing making our evening an event we will never forget. She was a wealth of knowledge and shared her passion and skill which enhanced our whole experience. I wish there were a higher review than 5 Stars because this restaurant deserves it! Went there for my wife’s birthday And it was amazing! The elk appetizer was awesome and I’m not a wild game eater! She had the Sea bass and I had the filet and both were perfect. Danielle was awesome and very helpful in guiding us through the menu and giving recommendations. The rest of the staff was awesome as well, making us feel welcomed! Great kitchen staff and chef made this a great experience. They even had a birthday card on our table when we arrived that they all had signed. Great job Tinderbox!! Great job!!! Thank you!!!!

Danielle our server was amazing - super attentive, helpful with suggestions and crafting our order to our interests, and welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent - cheese board with hot honey to die for, elk souvlaki perfectly matched with the mint arugula salad, and perfectly cooked excellent quality filet mignon. Cocktails were crafted so well - one from the craft menu and one we regularly enjoy not from the menu. Dessert was a perfect finish. All around really recommend for a delicious and lovely evening!

We had an amazing dinner this evening. The duck was phenomenal and perfectly cooked (we've seen that not the case at many restaurants across the country).
