Since the early days as "Keen's Store", this curio/general store/restaurant has survived to become Meg's Place. It's just the country oasis you might need after your long haul from Globe and on your way east. Their Keen Burger was great and under $8.00. Where can you get a good burger at that price? We finally had a chance to eat here after hearing so many great things about it. I’m giving it five stars relative to its location. You will not find a better burger in the entire Gila Valley. Are these the best burgers I’ve ever eaten? No, but the burgers are really, really good. The fries were pretty good. My kids said the chicken tenders were good. The Indian Taco is amazing! We also had a Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Chip Cookie, and a Cinnamon Roll with Cream Cheese Frosting and Nuts. But most of all, the folks there are incredibly friendly and welcoming! Well worth the drive for us from Florence and we'll be visiting Meg's again for sure!!
