On our way home from a long weekend in San Diego, the options are extremely limited for fresh food in this area. We were so pleasantly surprised at Humberto's in Gila Bend! Possibly the best chimichanga I've had - carne asada & bean, pico de gallo topped with sour cream and cheese (I skipped the guac) with plenty of red sauce. Amazing!
Grilled chicken taco recommended to me by the female staff member was good. Tacos are large—portion size generous. Hot salsa is very spicy but taste is just ok. Carne asada taco was mid. Quiet place on the roadside.
3 stars because they have a super convenient big space to park semis and big vehicles in the rear. However, I’m disappointed, because I stopped for two reasons, one to use the restroom and wash my hands before eating, but their restrooms were closed so I had to make an extra stop down the road and the second reason was to get something to eat.
