Barrio Queen Reviews
We visited the Avondale location. Horrible service we waited 20 minutes to be seated when there were tables open and cleaned. When hostesses seated she said we will get to you when we can. They seated another table right after us. We waited another 10 minutes and no one came to our table the table the seated us a waitress came them. The food is great and the service is on point. Staff are engaging and efficient. First timers and we are coming back.
Visited the Gilbert location on 7/7/23 with a party of 6. Terrible service, asked for drink refills multiple times and the waitress forgot, forgot napkins, forgot silverware, totally oblivious. The food was even worse, $30+ Fajitas was a charred mess of steak, shrimp, chicken, and inedible vegetables that were stuck to the iron plate.

Barrio Queen in Gilbert Heritage District offers a lively outdoor patio and friendly staff, making it a great spot for casual group dinners. The La Dona Mocktail is a must-try, served beautifully and delicious. The Cochinita Pibil is a standout dish, rich and flavorful. The restaurant is also ideal for special occasions, with helpful servers who assist with things like bringing plates, forks, and candles for birthday cakes. Customers praise the quick arrival of chips and salsa, as well as refilled water glasses and delicious food.
The waiter was attentive, and the manager or chef came out to clarify some food preferences. The fall menu was fabulous, though the noise level with street noise and restaurant noise was initially bad but died down after an hour. Customers were not rushed to leave.
The guacamole is amazing, made at the table. The barria tacos and quesabirria tacos were very good, packed with flavor. The house margarita was also great. Customers enjoyed the vibe and decor, and plan to return, especially for happy hour to try more from the menu.
