Please make sure your rice is cooked. I almost broke my teeth on a Mediterranean bowl.
Amazing experience!! Awesome customer service
Ordered food for delivery through the app. this is the second time we’ve ordered from this location, even though the first time was not good. we love Zupas and wanted to give them another chance. both times we got the southwest avocado bowl, each time the rice has been so hard and undercooked that it’s been not edible. in the bowl we ordered yesterday we were missing half the bowl. no corn and no beans. I tried to get through to someone at the location with no help. super frustrating to pay for food that is not fully cooked and that does not have all of the ingredients. TWO times.
I called them to place a To-Go order. I confirmed which location it is and the lady at the other end confirmed that it was the 202 and Gilbert Rd location. She asked for my number and I gave it. She said you don't seem to have a profile with us( which I thought was rewards account), so she asked me firstname, lastname, and then phone number. She then took my order and asked for credit card info. I gave that to her and she said you can come and pick it up. When I drove there the folks at the counter mentioned that there is no order by that name. They said that you must have called some other location. I told them that I had confirmed the location before placing the order. They asked me to talk to the store manager (Matthew if I am not wrong). The manager asked me more details and I showed him the call from my Recents, it said Cafe Zupas, so he asked me to show the number and call duration, I showed that to him. He was patient and helpful but he said he has no idea why that happened, also he added that they have a policy of not asking for credit card info on the phone. He also asked me to show the credit card transaction and yes the transaction did not show up on my card. He said that he would take the order again and quickly make it. I went ahead and gave the order all over again ( he did not charge for the soda). But then I mentioned how come he does not know who the person was who did this because it is fraud to get someone's credit card info if their policy says not to get it. I called the number again when I was there and a lady picked up and I said which location and she said 202 and Gilbert and I said I cannot see you I am at this location and she said because I am at the back. So I asked the manager where this back office is and how can he not know who is in the back with responsibility to take the call and he pointed me to two ladies and said these two ladies are in charge of that. They were busy in their work and I was not sure how I can confront them without being very sure or even if I should ask them about that. I immediately called the credit card bank to cancel the card and issue me a new one with new numbers. I think first of all the Cafe Zupas phone line should say that please do not give your credit card info so customers calling them know the policy (some restaurants like Panera Bread take credit card info while taking phone orders). Also the manager should have been more proactive and ask the ladies in charge in the back himself in front of me instead of putting me on the spot by just pointing towards them. I plan to call Cafe Zupas corporate to see if they can look into this and fire the employee committing fradulent activities and also maybe change their phone ordering message to include credit card related policy. Also I asked the manager if calls are recorded so they can listen in to see if employees are getting credit card info by fraud but he said calls are not recorded.
If I would've known I'd like cottage cheese this much I would have been eating it years ago. The new protein bowls with cottage are phenomenal! I had the hot honey, and my friend had the citrus crunch bowl. We shared with each other and I can't decide which one is my favorite. My goodness, so good!
Been coming to this location for a while now, and recently there's been many changes to the menu. These new bowls are my favorite by far!
Enough about the food, it speaks for itself. The staff needs a shout out, because they were
amazing!
To each of the crew that helped me, I want you all you know you give places like Chikfila a run for their money. Smiles and warm welcomes, and just complete patience when describing the new menu.
Fantastic job Zupas!
Hello everyone. Me and my lovely girlfriend come here almost every other day for our very tasteful very affordable kids meal. When we walk in Matt gives us our usual meal and we head up to the counter to collect our tasty food. We get to finish the meal with a great free chocolate strawberry and a big smile on our faces. Thankyou Matt!
The chicken enchilada soup is very good.
This zupa is the best one . They follow the original recipe. The soup is thick and tasty. The manager is friendly and all the people that work here are friendly. Opposite of the chandler Mall zupa , there soup is water down and they are not even close to the quality in the gilbert zupa.
i love this place, but i REALLY miss the spicy chicken sandwich. please bring it back, it easily beats any other chicken sandwich in the game…
Outstanding! Food is absolutely delicious, but what really stood out was the spectacular service we received! Great job team Gilbert, will most definitely return. Charles, Austen, Miles, and Navea on the shift were amazing! A line to the door when we walked in, was at first weary about how long it may take, but they were blazing! We and everyone else in line were promptly taken care of, and smiles on their faces the entire time. Literally couldn't have had a better experience.

What a pleasant surprise to see Matthew from my Queen Creek restaurant now managing the Cafe Zupas in Gilbert!
I am a forever fan of Cafe Zupas and it's great to experience the consistency of quality throughout the chain.
Matthew and his staff provided a delicious lunch, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere.
I love this place!

I guess you can mess up a grilled cheese sandwich, who knew?
I placed a small online order for pickup and arrived at the scheduled time, yet I ended up waiting another 20-25 minutes. There were five other customers waiting with me. Customer service was virtually non-existent, limited to occasional assurances that the order would be ready soon. The staff appeared very unhappy, and the restaurant was in disarray, tables were sticky and messy, and the condiment station looked like it hadn't been restocked for hours.
This location is always a hit or miss, but more of a miss lately.

There was an issue when placing an order through the app where it didn't charge my card I had entered, but rather pulled an old card number that was not saved in the app to charge. Both managers I encountered were friendly and able to correct the issue in a timely manner and as always the food was made fresh. Thank you Charles & Matthew!

Kid-friendliness: The kids meals are great, my kids love the grilled cheese with fruit. High chairs available for wiggly kids.
