I love that there's a drive-thru at this location. The food is always made just for you and it's fresh and delicious.Vegetarian options: You can always get just beans and rice on the salad or burritos with extra veggies.
We are very lucky to have several Cafe Rio close to where we live. We dine at SanTan location at least once a week. We have seen improvement in the this location in the past year or so. Joanne seems to be in charge here. She is incredibly organized and efficient. She moves fast and is very attentive to the customers' in and out. She makes sure that the costumers are served quickly and smoothly. I watched her constantly checking every item to make sure that they are well stocked. The serving counter is cleaner than many other Cafe Rio locations. I can always count on them to have whole wheat tortilla available. Which is not the case in several other locations.Tricia is another courteous and efficient worker here. Needless to say that we like this cafeRio location the best for many good reasons.
This is less about this physical location and more about the chain itself. I haven't been to Cafe Rio in over a year, and decided to go in today for lunch. Boy was that a mistake. $16.85 for one burrito?! Never in my life would I have gone in if I knew it was going to be that much for just one item. Not even a drink. Completely lost my business. I'd rather make a burrito at home if it'll cost me that much for a basic burrito. How times have changed.

The proof is in the pudding you idiots. You have a 2.5 star rating on yelp this place is garbage the general manager here should be fired. Ordered from Uber eats got the wrong items, food taste like garbage. Before you respond with some canned response about how you care. Don't save it. Fire the manager at this restaurant. They are destroying your brand in one of the richest suburbs in this country. What a joke.

This place sucks. The staff purposely overcharged for sides of salsa to scrape $$. They were all so pissed off having to work there. I had to ask if I could actually pay for my food and they were thoroughly annoyed I asked to pay for my food. Throwing the tongs all pissed off bc some big wig client or maybe local manager is coming in 30 minutes. Also to have an open kitchen look that disgusting is making me regret paying for the food. First time trying it and never coming back. It’s like a crappy version of chipotle. I get no one wants to work in food service but y’all are visibly angry with each other and the customers today. I don’t blame the employees they are just trying to get through the day. The management needs to change she was wild

On the door sign and online it said this location closes at 10pm. I showed up at 9:20 and the doors were locked and the employees wouldn't acknowledge their customers. Not a good look closing 40 minutes before close and refusing customers.

I ordered a bean and cheese burrito Ranchera style. I was not really happy with having to pay the same price as if I added a meat, but I accepted that. What was frustrating was that I was asked if I wanted a side salad with my burrito and was told I needed to pay an up charge for dressing. That doesn’t make sense to me.
THIS LOCATION SUCKS!!! If it’s less than 2 hours before they close they will stop making food and start shutting down. And they literally NEVER have queso & I just don’t understand how that is possible!! If I had three wishes from a magical genie, one of my wishes would be for this Cafe Rio to have an endless supply of queso ….. that way it wouldn’t suck so bad.
