Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Gilbert

We did not get the quality of food or service this time that we are accustomed to at Cooper's Hawk. I had made reservations for a booth in a quiet location for my husband's birthday & hostess started to seat us at a table right next to a busy walkway. I reminded her that we had requested a booth, but she told me we couldn't have the one we were standing next to because she would be seating a larger party at that booth. She asked if we could wait about 10 minutes for another booth to become available, then were finally seated right next to a table of 4 (fairly tight quarters & quite loud). There was an entire row of empty booths at the back of the restaurant. I guess those were off limits. We had to ask our waitress 3 times to get lemon for our water. We had to ask our waitress if truffles were still complimentary for a birthday. We asked our waitress to apply the $15 birthday credit we had coming & she did not. She charged the entire amount to our credit card. Then after adjusting it, she said the credit for the first charge should show up in a few days (as she had already processed the charge, even without a signature or tip being added). My husband & I are creatures of habit & always order the same thing. He orders the pretzel coated pork chop with a glaze & I order the salmon. The breading was coming off his pork chop & there was no glaze, just a sauce over the top. His broccolini was tough. My salmon & Asian slaw was good, but not great like it usually is. Slaw was soupier than normal. Our bottle of wine was great!!

Went to Coopers for what we thought was going to be a Sunday Brunch. Turns out that they have a separate menu in addition to the regular menu served in the main dining room. That's not what I would've expected for Sunday brunch.  Service was mediocre and food was not much better. It took close to 30 minutes to receive our lunch. Had to constantly remind the waiter of the missing items that we initially requested. Waiter was not properly trained for service. Service in the wine tasting room wasn't much better. The server was more interested in having conversations with other people than providing service to us. It's going to be some time before my husband and I return. 

It was my first time to CH for brunch! What a treat. Enjoyed the salmon toast and some tasty gewurztraminer. I'll come back for brunch...

I have been a wine member here for years. Love the wine tastings and always enjoy going in for the wine of the month. There is flexibility to change the tastings for a glass. I am hard of hearing with hearing aids but I can have conversations without struggling whether I am in the dining room or bar. I have great service from a number of servers which include Cade (very personable, makes you feel like you are the only person in the room), Mike (funny), Frank (funny, very knowledgeable of the membership and got me known about the member dinners!) and Greg (funny). I would dine with them all again and have. The wine bar is a fun atmosphere and you get to meet others while you are there. Ciera is new. I love the trivia she brings, knowledgeable of the wines and just very sweet. Stephanie has been there for years, knows her wines and has great suggestions. Greg is one of the managers and also works at the wine bar. He is funny, knows his wines and knows what I like and would not. Coopers Hawk is my go to for all occasions.

Food was fabulous and wine was very good. Our server, Morgan, was a delight and very helpful but not hovering.. we will go back and ask for her again.

Took my son there for his birthday. Denise was our guide, this was our first time there, and she was fabulous and so helpful. Overall it was a nice dinner. Two issues for me were their signature margarita was too salty and I couldn’t taste the tequila and the filet was an odd shape and was chewy. My son enjoyed his meal.

One of our favorite restaurants for a nice dinner and wine. Savannah was an outstanding server. I love the churrasco steak and PB&J old fashioned.

George was our server and he was exceptional! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Food was amazing. We were lead here by the extensive gluten free menu and it did not disappoint! Everything we had so so tasty and we will for sure be returning in the future.

Mediocre in both food and service. The place was packed, we waited 40 min for a table. After the first 30 minutes I went and asked… seems they missed us somehow. It still took another 10 minutes. Then we waited 6 minutes for a server and another 18 for food. We did get water right away..LOL I have heard good things about Cooper’s Hawk but my experience did not leave me with a good feeling. Like I said mediocre at best.

This was a fantastic restaurant with great staff, food and wine!

Awesome food, stellar service. A bit lacking for space when crowded, but otherwise spectacular.

We made reservations and there was a snafu with that when we arrived. After a few conversations they accommodated us. We were a large party and ordered quite a few items. The pasta and Parmesan chicken were excellent. Brussel sprout app and egg roll app we're both great. The Italian sausage flatbread was ok. The short rib risotto got mixed reviews. The skirt steak was pretty good and the vegs and fries on the side were excellent. Key lime pie and caramel flan both excellent. As was the kind cake. Our server was thee best. I forget her name but she has butterfly nails. We've been to a few CHs in different cities. This one was one of the better visits even though it was packed.

Frank was the most awesome server!! Very informative on what is provided with membership . We will definitely be back!!
