Food was great. Just like I remember. I used to go to El Pollo Asado back in the day.
Suggested improvements: 1) Don't use canned corn. 2) Season your broccoli 3) Drain your pico de Gallo. Too much juice, not enough tomatoes 4) Salt your tortilla chips

I just went through the drive-thru and ordered a salsa verde quesadilla combo with Dr Pepper and side of salsa. Kassavia asks me if I want chips and guacamole. As I’m saying the combo comes with chips and guacamole already she yells “JUST COME TO THE WINDOW” like some demon worshipping psycho. I get to the window and she hands me a Dr Pepper and grabs my card, comes back shoves my bag of food and card at me and slams the window shut. Nope no chips, even tho it’s literally her job to know chips come in a combo and I tried to tell her. Rude as hell
Don’t cry if people are mean to you and about how hard your job is when you act like that.

Chicken is hit or miss at this location. When is good, it's delicious, but oftentimes is dry and overcooked. Didn't even get the chance to try it on our last visit. It was 5:30 pm on a Saturday, and there was going to be a 30-minute wait for chicken breasts. The place didn't seem busy; we were one of two vehicles in the drive-through, and the parking lot was practically empty. It's a chicken-themed chain, who wouldn't expect them to have the most popular pieces ready around dinnertime?

Girlfriend and I visited this location later in the afternoon, food was fresh and service was GREAT! The extra steps the cooks take to prep the chicken make a difference!

Tried 3 different chicken tacos: crunchy shredded, al carbon and grilled chicken avocado. We liked the grilled chicken itself better than the mushy shredded chicken. The presentation on the grilled chicken avocado was pretty weak, but maybe I'm expecting too much. The crunchy taco was "uniquely" assembled. :

I love El Pollo Loco chicken — I have been eating at various locations for decades. This location had a great customer service rep — he handled everything we requested and more! The food was excellent — lately some locations have over cooked the chicken so that it is dry, but this chicken was tender and moist. The pinto beans were cooked well. The recipe for them over the years has removed some of the flavor so I helped it out with some onion, salt, cilantro and Serrano pepper. I will eat here again! Thanks for a great dinner!
Best chicken available in Arizona and California.
