Henhouse Cafe Reviews
I’ve given them several weeks to respond and do the correct thing. I ordered Irish eggs Benedict, while it was interesting I only ate a few bites and boxed the rest up. When I got it home I cut into the egg and found the entire top half of the egg shell creating the perfect egg mound under the sauce. I called several days in a row and after 5 days got a fill in manager who said she couldn’t deal with it but would take min info and have the manager call me back the following...read full review
Disappointed in the way my friends and I were treated at Henhouse Café in Gilbert.
Two of us arrived ahead of our party and asked to be seated while the others were walking in from the parking lot. Apparently that’s against their policy — something I’ve never encountered in dozens of restaurants.
Then, I was told I couldn’t bring my Feel Great Unimate tea inside — a drink I’ve carried into restaurants for 15 months without a problem. The hostess laughed...read full review
We ate at the Gilbert location 2 weekends ago and were a bit disappointed in the food and service. Much different experience from our first experience at the Mesa location. That will likely be our last visit since there are so many other great breakfast restaurants available.

Henhouse Cafe is a popular breakfast spot known for serving large, well-prepared, and tasty portions. The service is prompt, friendly, and professional, making it a great place to start the day. On weekdays, the servers are super sweet and accommodating, while weekends can be busier, so having orders ready is advised. The food quality is exceptional, with an appetizing mix of classic and unique breakfast dishes, many featuring a Southwest flavor. The Texas Benedict remains a favorite, especially with its cornbread base. Vegetarian options are available, and the salsa and chipotle sauce receive high praise. The waffles have been highlighted as the best, and most dishes, including sausage and biscuits, are delicious. While the cinnamon rolls were noted as different and not recommended, the overall experience is excellent. The only drawback is the plain decor, but the food and service more than compensate for it. Additionally, this location is finishing up an expansion to include henhouse-related knickknacks and more seating. Terry, one of the servers, has been recognized for being friendly, attentive, and extremely accommodating, making guests eager to return for the food and atmosphere.
