Been going to the Henhouse Cafe (both locations) for years now, but while generally a great breakfast, I always and wouldn't and won't order the chicken fried chicked any longer. The last 3 times the chicken comes out like it was microwaved !! Rubbery and/or pre cooked and couldn't even eat half of it. I'm not a person to send food back so I just stuck it up as a bad choice at this place.
On a whim, The Hubs and I stopped by and enjoyed breakfast and fellowship with Amy! The food was fabulous and out super fast and exactly as we ordered! We also had a fabulous time chatting with Amy, and her and my husband reminisced about IN and MI.
My husband had a omelet with potatoes and toast. I had the chicken fried chicken with scrambled eggs, potatoes and toast. My husband loved his food. I was not too happy with the chicken fried chicken. It was dry and overcooked thankfully the sausage gravy that covered it was the bomb.com so all in all we will go there again but I will not be ordering the chicken. Great service, the waitress was the bomb com!!
