The food was very good. Nice size portions. The carne asada nachos were plentiful. Very good Mexican food and the plates are artwork.
I've lived in Arizona over 65 years, and these were seriously some of the best tacos I've ever had! The guacamole and chips were outstanding, as well - you need to check this place out!
Some of these one star reviews honestly make me laugh because half of them don’t even say what was supposedly wrong. It feels like people are just looking for a reason to hate on a place that’s actually doing something different.

Based on the reviews, Lujos Cocina Mexicana is a nice place to eat with great atmosphere and service. It is counter order, but they bring the amazing food to the table. The food is exceptional, authentic, fresh, and perfectly seasoned without being greasy. The flavor was really great, and the presentation appearance of the served dishes is very nice, like a $100 presentation for the price of $20 per plate. Specific meals mentioned include the shrimp and beef, enchiladas, the Lujos Plato assorted platter, and churros with a little boot shot glass. The secret menu has great choices and unique flavors. The service is exceptional, with great customer service and friendly recommendations. Everything was fresh, and the food is some of the best in the valley.
