I admit. My experience and this review are heavily colored by my complete and total ignorance - before today - of kava or kratom, to no shame or failure on the part of Mad Hatter. My visit here did not alleviate that ignorance, but it has sparked a desire to learn more. I would hope the Mad Hatter folks are happy about that! This is one three or four locations scattered about the Southeast Valley. Cash, credit/debit card payments. Tables, a few corner booths, and bar seating.

The café was clean and well-maintained, including the seating area and restrooms. Free Wi-Fi and convenient charging outlets added to its appeal, especially for students and remote workers. Soft background music enhanced the atmosphere without being distracting.

What a wonderful little spot! Not from around here. Brother lives nearby.. He had never tried kava so I took him here. Jill was wonderful! If it’s your first time, the first drink is free. Worth coming and checking it out just for that.. all the patrons were kind. Good energy.
