Looking for another hibachi place now. Steak was rather tough this last time. That's not typical for teppanyaki cooking. Chef was fine and server was attentive. The restaurant was clean and well organized. Lots of birthdays celebrated. That's fine, but the 'happy birthday' music gets loud and annoying after a half-dozen sessions.
Food is always okay. Steak quality has gone down over the past year, noticeably. I always order the filet mignon. The past few times I've ordered it, it comes with a shiny film on it. Im not sure if that's the quality or the cut.. but its gross and gristley.
They quoted us 25-30 mins. It took well over 60 mins to be seated. The tea tasted bad, the aftertaste had a bad smell. The waitor seemed annoyed and tired. He never came to do refills. Brought out the bday...

My first time at an Osaka's. I was a disappointed by the first 3 items that I was provided - the miso soup had one small cube of tofu, the soup was barely warm, the ginger dressing on the salad was as watery as a soup, and the ice water had a strong unpleasant taste as if the water was not filtered water or maybe the water filter needed changing. The restroom smelled unpleasantly fishy. So I was worried about the entree, but the rest of the food was good aside from the rice...
