Terrible. Stood in line for 15 minutes before they opened to make sure we got through the door...we were the second ones in, and it took them 75 minutes to serve us. Everyone else who was in line with us was served, got their food, and left before us. Two others then walked in and we're served before us too. Then when we got the food, it was given to us not all at once, and they mixed up who got what. Then expected an 18% gratituity. Terrible place, will not go back. Server then proceeded to argue with me when I asked for the 18% gratituity to be removed for lack of service and she said "whatever, you know how it goes, why don't you like your service, the guy sitting next to you has been here before with no problems". Unbelievable.

This place need to hire people know how to run a restaurant
We checked in and wrote our name on the waiting list to be seated and the older waitress was of no help and an hr later (8:50 pm) we went again asking her what time they close as it is no long to the closing time, she kept thinking “aaaaah 9:30, no 9:20, no 9:15” and kept going saying you have to wrote your name in the checking in list, I told her we did already an hour ago and we are still waiting, there was another couple still waiting ahead of us
If you guys are closing in less than 30 mins how would you keep accepting waiting customers and still asking them to wait????
She did not even bother to answer or even checking on us
I asked her if you are closing the kitchen or the restaurant at 9:15, surprisingly she answered the restaurant!!!!!
I don’t know if a sushi restaurant would sit customers for 5 mins and then ask them to leave after that!!!
May be for a cup of water
Horrible customer service

Not the place to go if you are looking for Japanese sushi.
There were so many choices of rolls that the menu was a bit difficult to read. Everything was very similar with one off changes. Most rolls were made with cream cheese or covered in mayo.
It was our first time here and we waited about an hour to be seated. Make sure you sign in because no one tells you there’s a list you have to join to be seated.

Lunch hours are from 11:30 to 1:30. On Monday Nov 25, 2024, I walked in at 12:40 to eat lunch. Place was pretty full. The waitress looked around and looked at me and said "We closed". I saw two open tables and asked if I could sit at one and my daughter was on her way to meet me for lunch. The lady looked around again and then said "We closed". She would not seat me. I will never return.

I got gyoza, shrimp Ramen, miso soup, rice, and Seaweed salad. The gyoza was outstanding , the sauce for it was like a sour soy sauce (best sauce I've ever had, better than canes). The miso soup brought back such good memories of happy times, it was flavorful and warm. The shrimp Ramen I had with the thick noodles and the noodles tasted like tapioca and the broth and shrimp were phenomenal. The rice was rice. Warm and good, I would recommend dumping your remaining sour soy sauce on it. The seaweed salad was strange, but once you get pass the part where it's wet and gross it actually tastes good. I would most definitely recommend Ramen, gyoza, and miso soup. The servers were two beautiful women who helped us understand what to get. Mt dad asked what kind of dressing they had and they only had sesame dressing, and she came over to check how he liked it after. They were kind and bright. They checked on us often and helped a lot. The only downside is how small it is, and if you don't get there at a good time, it's packed. It's worth the wait, though.

Dietary restrictions: You can customize your order how you like it

Always consistently exceptional sushi! Saki will even create rolls based on your likes. One of my favorites, which I always order and start out with, is their Poke bowl. The atmosphere is cozy, despite the small space they have.
Saki and his team always deliver exceptional sushi....

Food was mediocre at best and WAY over priced, waitress was demanding, tipped herself on our card, and not knowing they closed at 1:30 they screamed at us from behind the counter to leave? Didn’t even come up to the table, lady aggressively just screamed from behind the counter “WE ARE CLOSED” “WE ARE CLOSED” “WE ARE CLOSED!” It was a really weird interaction

Stopped in for dinner and expected a long wait, and despite them being busy, we were sat almost instantly. We ordered potstickers to start and my honey got the teriyaki chicken which he loved. I browsed the menu and ultimately ended up making up my own "go to" roll. The sushi chef was beyond happy to compensate for me and make the roll I wanted and told me any time we come in to go straight to him and he'll remember me and be able to make it. 12/10 food and service!

No Joke, the best sushi in Arizona. Nothing compares to the creativity and quality that is found in the rolls here at Temari. You’re in the best hands with Danny behind the sushi bar. ?

Be ready to wait! Food is great, but the seating and waiting system is flawed.

It’s a simple place but excellent food!
Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and there were several little ones there when we were there. If they don’t eat sushi I’d just bring with me what they do eat. The staff was very accommodating.

I have been to many sushi restaurants in the Phoenix area and this one has maintained its quality over many years. You will find that whenever it's open, it's pretty much packed. Mind you they're only open for about 32 hours a week.
