This place was amazing! The food was superb! The vibes were immaculate and our server Bren was so attentive and so thoughtful! Will definitely come back!
The restaurant features a gorgeous interior with beautiful modern decor that creates a truly striking and photogenic ambiance. However, the premium pricing makes it difficult to justify a casual meal here, with the fish tacos coming in at a steep $26. While the ingredients look appetizing, the portion scaling is off; the tortillas are so tiny that the piece of fish spills right out of the sides. It can't be picked up. I've been to the mission quite a number of times since they've opened, I like to spend time at the bar with Lauren and Spencer. Both of them have Dynamite personalities, in very different ways but they seem to complement each other quite well. Lauren is precious and sweet and kind, Spencer is energetic and charismatic, and they both know how to make a great drink. The Mission is more than just a restaurant, it's an experience. The food is absolutely delicious, flavorful, and fresh. Every dish is savory and paired perfectly with the garnishes. The table side guac and margs are good. Specific meals mentioned include the street corn, guacamole, chorizo porchetta, steak, Duck empanadas, kid steak tacos, sword fish, and pumpkin bread pudding. The service can be outstanding, with staff who are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, the experience can miss the mark at times, with slow service even with empty tables. The atmosphere is more club feeling on weekend nights, with music that is insanely loud and hard to hear across the table. A reservation is honored right on time. Overall, the food is absolutely delicious and flavorful, worth going back for, but the experience does not always match the hype.
