We’ve never tried this place. So we decided to order take out. Frank was phenomenal. SO helpful. Very patient with us being indecisive. His customer service was most definitely welcoming. I can’t wait to continue to come back!

Service and food have gone way down since opening I took my wife and Son to dinner and this was my son's first dinner out after a long illness so he wasn't a 100%. He ordered a child's meal because he didn't have an appetite. They asked for his age and I told them he was 16 and they refused to serve him because he was over the age of 12. I was absolutely floored. Nevertheless, we didn't have dinner there that night or since.

Have you been here twice since I've been in Arizona food is excellent the service was really good the first time a little slow the second time seems they are very shorthanded on waiters and waitresses but the food's really good

Food was great! Fast and great service! Just not the best first impression when I walked in…. I went in for a late lunch around 3 pm! Kellie was the only person in the restaurant… So I asked are you guys open? Before she had a chance to respond, another customer came in for a pick up order…. So I waited… and Kellie says… No we’re not open, I’ve just left the doors open and am giving to go orders! I wasn’t exactly sure if she being sarcastic or serious! Until she said will you be dinning in? I said yes… then took me to a table and everything else from that point was great! Just not the best first impression!

So here's the thing about Waldo's BBQ, the price of their food is fantastic especially considering how flavorful and delicious their brisket was that I ordered. It was so good that I've gone back twice since. The staff there is absolutely fantastic, the servers that I had were outstanding.Now here's why I didn't give them a 5-star review, the first time I was there and ordered the 'mac and cheese', it was very soupy and not very flavorful. The third time I went there I got the 'brisket mac and cheese' , it was very soupy, not very flavorful, and it came out cold. If they can kick up the quality and tastefullness of the sides, this place would be on par with some of the best barbecue places I've ever been to.

Surprised at how good the meat was. Got a lot to have as buffet style for a family gathering. Unfortunately, the Mac and Cheese was terrible and soft/overcooked. We had little kids (who really only wanted that) and even they didn't like it. Wife was very disappointed and surprised how that soured an otherwise pleasant experience with a pretty good BBQ shop.

Well the most important part,the food quality, was terrible. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, with Mac and cheese on the side. The pulled pork LITERALLY taste like they had been soaking it HOTDOG water for the last week. I ate one bite out of it and instantly lost my appetite. The mac and cheese , looks/taste as the cook mixed a lot of water in recipe, tasteless. The male server, was also very rude and careless as was the hostess, I switched my order to go because it was draining me. Terrible vibe!! GO TO ARIZONA BBQ!!!! WAY BETTER FOOD!!!!!! By far!
Ordered dinner for pick up last night. Showed up to pay for it and their credit card machine was down. They tried with multiple cards for about 10 minutes. This stuff happens, but they made no concessions. I went and found an ATM (which charged $5) came back to cold food. Asked for one of the kid's meals to be comp'd, but they simply said no. Such short-sidedness. Ultimately I ended up with a cold meal about 30 minutes past when my family was expecting to eat. I hope Waldo's is not in financial trouble, but to not make some accommodation for an issue on their end is not the way to create recurring customers. I won't be going back unless the company wants to make it right.

Tried to go to Blue 32 recently during a Suns game, and when they wouldn’t accept the reservation we made, walked next door to Waldo’s. We lucked out! The place was practically empty, so we were immediately seated. The food was overall pretty tasty! My pulled pork and mac n cheese were good, and I liked their BBQ sauce a lot. The cornbread was dry and definitely below average, in my opinion. But the star of the meal for us was the peach cobbler a la mode. So delicious! Our server was very friendly and quick. Overall, a pretty nice experience, and we’d definitely return again.

Got take out. Staff was friendly and made solid recommendation. Good was good, but food portion was extremely minimal for pricing. Wife and I literally laughed opening the bag at home.

Good brisket. Good sauce. But, the environment is odd. It's always empty. The seating is probably the reason. Uncomfortable! When I go out for dinner I want an experience. The experience I am getting is hard wood chairs. The decor needs a refresh too. Please make me want to come back. At this point, I'll go next door.
