We were a party of 5. Ordered 2 pizzas Chicken Parm sub Large Calzone and MB Stromboli. Food was fresh and served hot (big pet peeve of mine). Grew up in the suburbs of NYC and have to tell ya the pizza was the best I have eaten in years in AZ. The servers made sure we had everything we needed and kept getting us soda refills. Truly awesome experience and will make this a regular spot to go to
I've been in Az. since '84. I cant tell you how many times I was told that a certain place had pizza just like N.Y. Always disappointed. One day I was leaving Fox cigars and decided to walk in and check it out. FINALLY !!! After all these years I found not only pizza, but Italian food just like back home. Every time someone we love comes to visit we take them to Buono’s. We are always full and happy when we leave. The staff is wonderful and the food is delicious.

Based on the reviews, Buono’s Pizza is an amazing, small, friendly mom and pop shop that has been locally owned since 1989. The food and service are top notch, and the pizza is absolutely amazing. It is a New York style pizza place with a perfect crust, awesome sauce that is made in house, and whole milk cheese. The lunch special for $9.99 with a slice of cheese pizza, a salad and a drink is a great deal, with toppings available for $0.75 each. The Werks pizza is really good, and the garlic knots are awesome. The staff is generous, kind, and so friendly. While the pizza and cold beer are great, the wings have too much cartilage and bone, and the chicken quality is not made to perfection. Overall, this place is legit and one of the highest recommendations in Arizona.
