It looked like my food was served in a dirty plate, the plate smelled bad.
Food ordered:
-Roasted corn; not good flavor it has tajin instead of powdered chili making it taste too salty.
-Carne Asada burrito; it had more beans than meat in it, rise wasnt good and charro beans had no flavor at all (are they called charros because they have chorizo in it? Sorry buy thats not what charros are.)

Service was great! Very attentive and nice. Just not a fan of the food. Specially for the prices they handle.

I was waiting for the good food to come out....it never did. Don't waste your time or money here.
The staff was chill though.

Service is excellent and helpful. Great, hip decor - colorful and clean. Food is great, many options for enchilada styles and sauces. Gracias Celia!

Was in there 10min standing at the hostess station before the hostess who was avoiding anyone walking in (including the rest of the wait staff and the manager). Not a hello to any of the 3 families waiting, just a rude sassy lack of any eye contact as she sat us. Another 10 min in, we still don't have water or anyone saying hello or "we'll be right with you." Something to be said about not lying to us, I guess. The "not wanting to be there" hostess finally brings over water but not a server one stopping as they walk by adressing other tables. 30min in and no drinks, and finally a very unapologetic server walks up as we decide to leave. The worst service I've seen since The Brunch House.

I just ordered tacos through takeout… and needless to say I probably won’t be back… there looks to be either mold or part of a dish towel attached to my tortilla. My tacos were also extremely bland and didnt seem to have any seasoning.

Got sat pretty much as soon as we walked in, it was pretty much empty, and then waited 15 minutes and no one came up to us until we got up to leave. But we could see the the entire staff from bathroom talking and laughing in the kitchen area, so that was nice to see. Got there around 7:35 in case they wanna lie and say we weren’t there THAT long.

Love the food however we went yesterday and left a cash tip but I woke up this morning to a notification the server decided to add an additional tip on my card that was not authorized. I called the place and I’m still waiting for the manager to call back to solve the issue.

Came last night for Happy Hour. Shared Birria Nachos and Elote ribs with friends. One friend only had nachos, me and other friend had nachos and elote. The two of us that had the elote ended up throwing up with diarrhea all night long.

I have to say we were so disappointed. We love Barrio Queen. They have amazing food. However, this particular shop does not use the same recipes or execute the dishes in the same manner as the other restaurants. Maybe it’s a franchise. Were I a restaurant owner I would never allow a franchise to sully my name, but… here it is. We got the same four dishes that we get at every Barrio Queen. Their chili Verde wasn’t even stewed pork it was some kind of grilled pork that they chopped into pieces. I had to ask for some Verde sauce to go along the side with it cause it doesn’t come with it. The shrimp dish was not the same, it was pretty awful actually. So we will continue to go to Barrio Queen. We will just avoid this one, which means I gotta drive across town. It’s worth the drive though.

Nice place and the staff are nice. The service is good as well. The only complaint is that the prices are too high for weeds and seeds type of food. We had salad and vegetable fajitas, no meat. The fajitas had too much oil and were not cooked enough. The zucchini was undercooked and oily while the onions and what little mushrooms that were there were overcooked.

Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options.

Bland, dry, overcooked, under seasoned. We ordered the Molcajete Mixto and the Chile en Nogada. The meats were extremely overcooked and dry along with everything else in the dish and no salsa to keep it moist. The Chile en Nogada is extremely sweet, so much so that you cannot taste the actual roasted Chile. I was very disappointed.
