Cuban restaurants in the Valley are few and far between. And, somehow diminishing in number. This happens to be our close second favorite Cuban traditional-style cuisine available within a one-hundred-mile radius of Phoenix proper. They do an extremely good job of keeping the traditional flavors intact – take it from a reviewer of Cuban heritage. Yes there may be quasi or fusion or wannabe Cuban cuisine out there, but keeping it real, probably three as of this writing… and this is one of them. My wife and I have had the pleasure of trying many of their dishes, from Croquetas de Jamon, Tostones (crispy and double fried lightly salted plantains) and Yuca Con Mojo (smoothly tender cassava/manioc drenched with an invigorating garlic-citrus mojo seasoning, and embellished with parsley) or the fruits of their kitchen old-style labor with Bistec De Cerdo, a tender and succulent pork steak capped with sauteed onions (with an excellent amount of Cuban adobo and garlic) sided with congri and salad, or their fab, and my fave Ropa Vieja, which is a chunk of tender shredded beef in sautéed bell peppers, perfectly seasoned tomato sauce, traditional Cuban seasonings, offered again with congri and salad. If you love Cuban cuisine, enjoy already or a novice to Cuban culinary traditions, this a spot you can’t miss out on. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to go back. Buen provecho.

Good afternoon. In my opinion I did not like the food, neither I nor my husband were eating shrimp enchilados. The yuca con mojo didn't have mojo or even garlic. And to be very honest, I spent much more than every time I have gone to another restaurant in which I have been satisfied. The service is good because it is fast and the atmosphere still feels like you are in Cuba because we are all Cubans. I recommend it if you want to go talk to someone at the bar and have two or three beers but not the food. Thank you

I deleted my previous 1 star review because the owner or who ever manages this replied in rude way and it made me feel like I was the bad person which isn’t right. They took forever to get my order and seemed a little rude. I would go back and give them one more chance but it might be a while. A lot of people go there but I was just upset on the customer service that didn’t pay much attention to us and took their time like if no one was there.

The people at this restaurant are very informal. They spent the week saying that they were going to open on December 31, that according to the kitchen they were going to close at 10 and the bar at 2 in the morning and it turns out that one did nothing at home to go to the place and have a pleasant time and when we arrived at the closed place 😣🤬, that is not done, they had to be Cubans, I will never return to that place again
Horrible food, raw pizza, mamey shake that didn't taste like mamey, salty old clothes, 0 quality pork and

Very casual new Cuban restaurant in Glendale. We had the grilled chicken ‘pollo asado’ which came with grilled onions on top was very tasty, moist and piping hot when it got to our table. The ‘congri’ or rice and beans cooked together was made with coconut milk and very tasty. The service was quick and efficient. Really good casual dining. Only disappointment was their lack of fresh juice which is typical of Cuban restaurants but overall we would return.

The pizzas have no quality whatsoever, apart from being raw. Even if they ask to be cooked one more time, the wait is very long and they do not give compensation for bad service. I will not visit that place again. I didn't feel good at all. 4 pizzas, 4 drinks and two starters, all this cost $115 dollars for a meal and terrible service. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Everything is very expensive and without any quality.

Be prepared to wait 3 hours for a congrí and some old clothes.
We decided to eat today as a family at this Cuban restaurant. They served us incomplete starters and never returned to our table. We let the waitress know that we were ready to order the main dishes and more than 40 minutes passed. The bartender had to come take our order because we ourselves put the sucrose plates and starters on the side of the bar.
After 40 more minutes the owner arrives with the food and explains to us that the delay is our fault because they work by order. And they inform the kitchen in order of order.
In short, if you only have 1 hour or 2, don't come to this place. And the owner's recommendation is that you order everything from starters to dessert from the moment you arrive.
If they delay or ignore you, in the end it's your fault.🤷🏽♀️
If they do not improve the service, this is the chronicle of a death foretold.

Awesome service. Be prepared to order everything at once if you want to eat in a 3 hour time-frame. On top of that be prepared to be lectured by the owner about your mistake for not ordering everything at once.
Bad service, slow, unprofessional and disorganized. But hey, it is all your fault at the end🤦🏽♀️. Just incredible. Never coming back.

I plan to update this review once I go back in a few months time but unfortunately I did not have the best time when my friends and I visited on Saturday. When we first came in, we were quickly greeted by the bar tender and were seated quickly as well. Unfortunately that’s when the quickness stopped :(. It took over 20 min to get our drinks and we never got water. The only sever they had only checked on us once and we waited for almost an hr hoping to get our orders taken but unfortunately the waitress never checked on us again, at which point we paid for our drinks and left.
It was obvious there were in need of more help on the floor since there was only one waitress and the bartender working the floor while the rest of the crew were cooking in the back. There were a lot of people there and there were four or five other tables waiting to be served that came in after us. You can tell the waitress was stressed but who can blame her. We were really looking forward to eating there but left pretty disappointed.
I’m hoping that after a few months of the restaurant being open in their new location, things will be better and I’ll definitely visit again and update my review.

Extremely great cubano sandwich!! The ground beef empanada was very good as well. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean and nice. I will definitely be back to try more.
