I happily anticipated dining at Cracker Barrel. Once served, my happiness turned into unhappiness and concern. The restaurant was not crowded so the food came out quickly. It was luke warm, the chicken fried steak tasted like it was warmed in a microwave oven. It was not the cripsy fry you expect, the meat was dry and tough. The green beans, obviously canned, were bland and the steamed brocolli was tasteless. What happened?

The food was all messed up n the family in our party almost of us got the wrong food n the waiter messed up on the bill also.. I've never had service like that before.. the manager gave me a couple of cards for a free dessert and they are expired.. so ya'll be careful you you go there..

The Turkey meal we picked up for Thanksgiving was very disappointing. The turkey was good but the mac n cheese and sweet potato casserole were soupy, the dressing was nothing but bread crumbs in a pan along with some chicken stock to pour over it. I ended up throwing it away. We also threw out the rolls...very dry. I'm going to the store tomorrow and getting ingredients to make stuffing. We definitely won't do Cracker Barrel again ever. Worst Thanksgiving meal in my life.

We went to celebrate for dad's birthday last April. We came here after our Gunfighters Show and I invited few friends. It was a long wait because it was a weekend. I guess they are always busy because it's already famous restaurant. The food were served right away so it was still good service and good food.
I’m not sure what happened here. I’ve eaten at other Cracker Barrel restaurants and thought they were a fair place to grab breakfast, but apparently that didn’t happen here… We were told it would be about a five minute wait, so no problem there, we thought we would shop around inside their store anyway. But, 30 minutes later we still had not been seated yet. When we finally did get seated we noticed there were only a couple of other tables being occupied in our waitresses section. She seemed very overwhelmed and after we told her we waited over 30 minutes to be seated she explained that the manager was helping out in the kitchen that morning, so I’m not sure if someone didn’t show up for work, or what had happened. After placing our order, we waited an additional 45 minutes to be served, at which time there were still only the same couple of tables being occupied in our waitresses section. We did not see our waitress for a very long time and finally another girl brought us our food. I took one bite and immediately noticed it was ice cold. You can’t blame the kitchen for that! That food was sitting there all this time getting cold waiting for someone to serve it. I decided then I wasn’t going to wait well over an hour for a cold breakfast, so we got up to leave. Only then did we finally see our original waitress who took our order. She simply asked “Oh, are you leaving?”, but when we told her Yes, she didn’t even ask us why. She already knew why. The people seated next to us said they had been sitting there 15 before us and they still hadn’t been served either. We drove to Denny’s down the street, ordered breakfast, and had it served (hot) in about five minutes and for a lot cheaper. Kind of makes me wonder why I was going to spend the extra money at Craker Barrel?

Went here twice had momma breakfast which was three pancakes ,egg and bacon , second day was chicken fried chicken can we say amazing . Never go wrong with Cracker Barrel. Service was great here also

We stopped in for lunch after shopping at Cabelas. Busy but we were able to sit outside. The menu has the calorie counts and we were able to make better choices because of that. The catfish was well prepared and the vegetables were perfect. We split one cornbread muffin. Would have been perfect but we waited 45 minutes for our meal.

We really had a great breakfast yesterday. The food was exactly as advertised, tasty and plentiful. Ramon took care of us and was attentive and friendly a server we’ve ever had. Just a great experience all around.
