I stopped by for my 1st time today and it was a great experience. I got the Jamaica lunch plate, it wasn't as spicy as I hoped but it was delicious. Plenty of food for a great price, under $10! I will definitely go back.

-Edamame was over cooked and mushy
-ordered sauce on the side for three dishes, plus an extra sauce. Did not receive the second flavor or the additional sauce I paid for.
-Cannot beat price or size for what it is
-Eh at best.

Island Teriyaki is definitely my go-to for a fresh, flavorful asian cuisine. The service is wonderful, and the gentleman that is usually there has become a familiar family friend. The food comes in very generous amounts, and I always have leftovers. My favorite thing to order is the Bulgogi bowl and egg roll. On top of that, the dine space is very welcoming and fun! This place will always be my recommendation to others for guaranteed delicious food!!

Been going to this place for years now and still can't disappoint. The atmosphere is very relaxed and quiet, if you chose to sit in or dine out. The customer service is always great and everyone who works there are always friendly. I get different dishes every time I go, and have yet to find something I don't like. Crab puffs are always a must with every dish.

I ordered chicken fried rice, teriyaki chicken (w/dark meat), and pot stickers. While deciding on my order, I asked the owner if the beef was tender in the fried rice, explaining that I have a difficult time chewing and eating dry meat. As he recommended the chicken fried rice, I ordered as he advised, but when I got home and dished out my serving I was greatly disappointed to find that all of the chicken was extremely dried out and discolored. It looks as if it has been sitting out for the entire day and added to the rice after I ordered. There was no moisture and the dried out jagged edges are sharp and inedible. I ate around the chicken and hope I don't get food poisoning. The pot stickers are deep fried, so the shells are also very dry with hard flaky edges, which is not what one would expect when compared to the traditional tender, chewy and lightly crisp texture of pot stickers. The teriyaki chicken had a good flavor and the chicken was fairly tender. All in all I paid over $30 for gas station-quality asian food. I should have turned around when I noticed that the entire restaurant was empty during dinner time.

Island Teriyaki might look like a simple fast-casual spot from the outside, but don’t let the laid-back vibe fool you—this place delivers some seriously flavorful food.
I got the Spicy Orange Chicken. The spice level was not enough for my personal taste but I subscribe to Hot Ones to give you context. The owner, Gary, was happy to help. He took my plate back and revamped it with a homemade smoked Carolina Reaper powder. This sent the dish into 5 STARS, enough to give your mouth a kick without overpowering the sauce’s tangy sweetness.
Portions are generous. The vegetables are always fresh, and everything is served hot, fast, and with a smile. Overall, Island Teriyaki is the kind of neighborhood spot you keep going back to.

I recently ordered a large Teriyaki bowl. While the overall experience was mediocre, the quality of the food was disappointing.
The food was ready remarkably quickly, which suggests it was not cooked to order but rather pre-prepped. This likely explains why the chicken itself was dry and overcooked. More importantly, the teriyaki sauce lacked depth of Asian flavors, reminiscent of a weak soy sauce or a light commercial marinade.
The proportions of the meal were also unbalanced. Even though I ordered a large, the portion of chicken felt disproportionately small compared to the rice, which seemed to be equivalent to about three or four standard rice portions. The combination of this skewed ratio and the bland sauce left me with more than half the plate of rice untouched.
The atmosphere and service were also mediocre. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for a mid-evening on a weeknight, and I had to wait a few minutes for someone to appear at the front counter. However, the woman who assisted me was friendly, and the establishment appeared clean and had the typical smell of a teriyaki restaurant. Overall, there was nothing particularly special about the setting or service.
I hope the restaurant takes this feedback to improve the preparation of their chicken and the flavor profile of their sauce. However, since food prep and sauce typically don't change day to day, I would not go back.

I had the large Jamaican chicken teriyaki. Mommy 😋 the sauce was loaded with warm spices like jerk chicken, but no habanero burn.. just a nice comfy tongue tingle. I don't like gristle or weirdness in my meat, and there was none.. just perfectly grilled chicken breast. Their rice was an excellent compliment to the dish! Expertly cooked and sticky without being gloop. Good portions for the price helps make Island Teriyaki a new favorite of mine. 💚

Unfortunately they don’t actually have gluten free teriyaki sauce like stated in a review below. They only have gf soy sauce.
Amazing food!!! And great prices!
