Lutong Bahay Filipino-Asian Restaurant & Mini Mart

I’m writing this review because it’s important to hold businesses accountable especially if a customer spent a ton of money for a catering service. My family and I have placed a big order from this restaurant twice now, 1) for my sister’s wedding a couple years ago, then 2) last night for our Christmas party this year at my sister’s house in Glendale. Both orders included a several tray orders and lechon. Both times requested to have the lechon cut up since we don’t have the right tools to do so at home, and obviously for convenience so that my family and our guests can just pick out the lechon portion and eat with ease. I’d like to know how your establishment have the gull to reassure your customers that the lechon would be cut up upon delivery and also add on extra fee for that service but yet on the day off you guys insist that the lechon shouldn’t be cut up because “people would want to take selfies with it”. IF WE WANTED TO NOT HAVE THE LECHON CUT UP WE WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU SO. We clearly made such request for a reason. Stop lying to your customers and reassuring them you would provide a service, charge them extra for it, and then NOT ACTUALLY DO IT. That’s called a scam and a shitty way to run a business. DO BETTER.

***You guys delivered the lechon to the house yesterday and still proceeded to not cut the lechon knowing what my sister requested upon delivery… customers shouldn’t have to request again to cut up the lechon if you guys already know the specifics of the order. It’s really counter productive. You guys have my sister’s contact info and her name is Leslie Williams. You can contact her directly then and refund her credit card for the service fee.***

I hate to put a bad review, but honesty is important. The options were good, but the food temperature was not up to par. The Adobo was cold and luke warm in some parts. The lechon was not even close to hot, but it was rather cold. It's overpriced as well, especially because the food was not hot. I spent over $120 for a family of 4. Sorry, but I will not be returning.

I stopped by the other day because I was excited to hear about this place being right down the street from me. Food was great, as well as the service. I noticed that there was pork sinigang right after I had placed my order, and the gentleman at the register offered me a taste of it by placing a few scoops of it until a small bowl. I wanted to tip them, but they insisted that it was okay if I didn’t. I ended up tipping, because I was very satisfied with my experience. I also bought some lumpia on my way out, which was also very good. I’d like to see this place have a line out the door, because I feel like they deserve the business. I will definitely be going again!

Lechon kawali has an after taste, same as the chicharon bulaklak. I assuming that the oil is very old they just re using it time and time again. The sinigang meat is very hard. I drove 45 minutes and it's not even worth the drive, very disappointed. Will not recommend the place.

First-time visitor. But definitely not the last time. This little restaurant and store has some of the basic fundamentals in Filipino cuisine. The staff is very friendly. Very helpful and kind. If you're from the area you already know about this place. The pork lechon is yummy. Just like eating it in the Philippines. As an American and my wife being Filipino. This reminds me of all the great food in the Philippines. You definitely want to try them out.

In response to Mary H. review, prices at Lutong Bahay have been very reasonableand competitive with other restaurants. I love their food & I buy food to go, often. Us Filipinos, have a difficult time, just giving compliments when due. Let’s just try to promote our own in more ways than one….discredit. I have been going to this since they opened. I still do!

Lechon… it was very good! Kare Kare was so good. The Halo Halo was the best I have ever had. We are in town visiting and were hoping to find a good Filipino restaurant. We were lucky. So happy!

We ordered 2 entree with 4 different items and every single items tasted very good. We enjoyed every single bite of it. Also got a little crazy shopping in their mini mart. Though we spend a little over the budget, it is all worth it! The staff are very nice and helpful. They deserve a perfect *****. Highly recommended!!

Delicious Filipino food!

We were visiting from out of town for a family reunion and needed to bring Filipino options. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was ok. Was just nice to know there were Filipino options in the area. We dined in and took a lot of food to go. Prices were pretty much standard, just high. Idk why Filipino food is always on the higher end?!?
