A wonderful dinner at Macayo’s on 59 ave and Bell.
We had Jose and he was a great waiter.

We had a waiter named Jose and he was very fantastic and met our every need. He was very polite and refilled our beverages and hot sauces with out having to ask for them. Jose is an outstanding waiter.

Another excellent lunch at Macayo's! We had a shredded beef chimichanga plate and a grilled fish taco plate. Everything was delicious, fresh, made to order. Ample portions.

It's Macayos food is always above average, we will always go back for the food. But the service the last 2 times I went to the one on Bell and 59th below average. Today, it was so bad I left a $4.64 tip, and that was because I feel I have to tip something. The atmosphere well out dated.

Went to the Goodyear location on a Tuesday. I don’t know when they changed the way they make their crispy fried tacos but we got tacos in a pre-deepfried shell with soupy shredded beef with tomatoes and onion in the beef. Worst food I’ve had there.

Dined out at Macayo’s this evening, and dinner was fine - no complaints. However, we ordered the $6.99 order of Sopapillas for dessert. It looked like someone skimmed the extra dough pieces out of the fryer and served them. Six sopapillas that were the size of a quarter - all dough - no rise. I should have sent them back while I was there, but I had a mentally handicapped woman dining with us who gets very fretful with conflict, so I didn’t. I’m very disappointed that the kitchen felt that was appropriate to dish up and that the server served it. That means a minimum of two people served basically the crumbs, and thought it was okay.

Ordered fiatias steak was sos so vegtables burnt, tortilla Soup was cold, guacamole was brown. Looks like they were serving lunch leftover for dinner. We could have stayed home

$23 for mini chimi's, over priced cheap food that no different from a filibertos, macayos can go to hell
We visited eith 40+ people as a club. Because the manager was willing to work with us ahead of time, the time from starting to take orders to getting food brought about was about what you'd expect for a regular family size.
The good was great. How much food was on the plates were generous. I can eat off of food I get here twice, but there were one of two of our group that managed to eat everything on their plate... but I think they were the exception and not the rule.
The server was great and seemed to be able to manage such a large party, their drinks, and additional purchases without problem.

Well, usually this place is decent/good, but today something was really off. First the service - the waiter we had was not very friendly and a bit rude at first when taking an order. Then the food came, it was really salty today and the refried beans...well they were NOT refried. I let the waiter know and he agreed they were "watery" today. I said they were mostly water and WHOLE pinto beans still - not smashed and NOT refried. He said it was the grill and he would go check it out. He came back w/ a plate of the same thing - he said "He even went and tried to smash them him self" - WHAT! That is major cross contamination of a waiter that is out w/ the public - handing money and such - but goes back to cook too? I'm sure he didn't change and put on a net and gloves - etc - he said something is going on back there today - and that was it. We didn't eat most of our food. He said he too 20% off the bill due to the hassle. We paid and left. But a manager should have come over for sure. Just wasn't a good day in there sadly. :/

My wife and I went there on December 26, 2024 approximate about 8 o’clock. When we walk in the manager stated that the dining room area was closed, so we can go sit at the bar which we did. The guy behind the bar took forever to come and take our order for our drinks. I understand he was by himself, but Five minutes after we sat down a family of four came in right behind us. The man behind the bar came right away to served them their drinks right away and took the order. Keep in mind we waited 15 minutes and he never came to take our order. I told my wife let’s go. I’m not gonna sit here and wait another minute . Especially when the couple comes in right after us. I felt like Rosa Park when they told her to go sit in the back of the bus many many years ago. This couple was white and I’m Hispanic, and I felt that I was getting mistreated. When I walked up to talk to the manager about it he kinda laughed And thought it was funny. I did not think he was funny at all for being mistreated, or the way I was treated,I believe my money is green just like everybody else’s. I will never go back to this restaurant ever again and it’s kind of sad because this was one of my favorite places growing up as a kid and as an adult this place has really gone down the shit or management has. One last thing the place had like bad smell in the bar area that kind of made my wife fell Uzi.So this place can go kick rocks.

It wasn’t that busy when we arrived. We were seated after about 10 min. There were complaints in the lobby. When we sat, there was a dirty dish rag smell. Waited over an hour for our food, being told the kitchen was slammed with pick up orders. When we got the food, it looked like it had been sitting too long; one of the people in our party got sick 30 min after we left. This location has gone down hill, which is sad because we used to love going to Macayo’s. After the last 3-4 visits being very disappointing, we won’t be back.

Fish taco was suppose to be battered but wasn't. No taste to it. Beans was ok. The rice i think it was sitting under heated lamp for too long. Crunchy shredded beef tacos was an eeeeh. Could've ate at Filibertos instead which was next door to it. Chips and salsa 👎. Its better at Manuel's.
