I regularly come by purchasing some food in this place. I liked the rapid customer service and well prepared food. Highly recommended.

I've lived in Kansas City, St. Louis and Austin, so I've had a lot of good BBQ. This place is isn't the best in the world, but it's a rock solid BBQ restaurant for being in the middle of Chicago. When compared to other Chicago bbq joints, it's head and shoulders above the competition. The brisket is really good and moist. They don't try to get cute with their sides like other bbq places in the city. Definitely recommend.

While the inside of this restaurant is a bit...interesting....I would visit for take-out only I think, their meat is quite tasty. Having passed the spot on multiple occasions, we finally decided to order the other night. We ordered the platter of various meats (chicken, pork, brisket and ribs) with mac and cheese and tots. The meat was delicious - juicy and flavorful with the right amount of kick from the sauce. The portion was also gigantic - so much so that I think we're getting 5 meals out of it for 2 people. However, their sides were only ok...I couldn't figure out how to order extra coleslaw (which was pretty good), so I stuck with their sides on the menu. The mac and cheese was only ok...it was slightly grey in color, which was weird, and it was just ok. The tots were decent, but cold, and they hadn't had to travel very far. All in all, I'd definitely order again for the main attraction - pulled pork, chicken or brisket (I hear the ribs were excellent - though I'm not a rib person myself)...sides are ok, but stick to the meats, and you'll be set. Price-wise, this was very reasonable also for such a large portion of food.

I had the mini sliders with pulled chicken and pulled pork and tater tots and it was good! I would go back there again. The only problem is the smell of smoke that stays in your hair and whatever clothes you're wearing.

Mr. B's has gone downhill and now lies to their customers. We have lived in the neighborhood and have ordered from them for the last three years. In particular, we love their chicken wings. However, for the last few months, every single time we order the wings, the restaurant has called to say they ran out. This happened five times at least. Today, we ordered from them online and again ordered the wings and brisket. We didn't get a call, so we assumed our order was okay. When the food showed up, the wings were 1/4 the size of what they normally were, dried out and disgusting. I called Mr. B's to inquire about the wings and the manager actually told me that they ran out and that the wings they gave us WERE FROM JEWEL GROCERY STORE!!! Mr. B's actually went to Jewel supermarket down the street and bought wings from their salad bar and charged us the price for their wings! Unbelievable! The manager was apologetic but acted like we caught her in a lie (which we did). She refunded us the cost for the wings - as she should have. This is unacceptable. We will never be ordering from them again.

This is a nice little restaurant with good BBQ. My pulled pork and pulled chick with juicy with a light smokey flavor. My fries were cut fresh and popped with flavor. The portions were large and I took some home!

Really solid BBQ. Glad I found this place after a couple other spots went down hill. Brisket is unreal.

Well, where do I start. Food is normally good but menu very lacking & 2 times over last 3 months they don't have the chicken wings. TAKE IT off the menu if you no longer stock it. Pissing me off when we order it then receive a phone call to say no wings.

Delicious! The chicken in the Pulled Chicken sandwich was succulent, moist, and perfectly flavored. The bun was toasted, super soft, and nicely soaked up the juices. I also ate the creamy mac 'n cheese and house salad. Truthfully, more mac 'n cheese than salad though. Haha. On a side note, I have a severe food allergy to apples - including apple cider vinegar - and alerted them. Due to this, I unfortunately couldn't eat some of the delicious beans and other BBQ. However, they took care to make sure I was safe and got to enjoy my yummy meal. Not every restaurant provides that kind of service and diligence. I'll be sure to come back soon!

Barbecue lovers: look no further than Mr. B's BBQ for a great meal at a reasonable price. You can't go wrong with any of the meats, and the sides are also delicious. I'm a big fan of the pulled pork, brisket burnt ends, and ribs, usually complemented by baked beans, corn fritters, or fresh cut seasoned fries, but there are plenty of other good options on the menu. The next time you're on the North Side and looking for some Southern BBQ, I'd highly recommend stopping by Mr. B's. You won't be disappointed!

One word: gross. We ordered the competition plate of ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken, and chose mac-n-cheese and collard greens as the sides. Also, a cup of the "southern sweet tea" advertised on the counter. The first gross was for the sides: old, stringy coleslaw in a tiny cup. Flavorless, fake cheese tasting mac. The collard greens were old and burnt. The meat was okay, but with each bite it tasted saltier and saltier instead of the rubs and smoke boasted on the menu. The sweet tea was anything but sweet--and it probably came out of a bottle instead of being freshly brewed. Left the restaurant thoroughly dissatisfied and still hungry. Avoid at all costs!!

Mr. B's BBQ 4160 N Lincoln Ave. I see this place all the time and always say I'm going to eat here this week, 3 years into lying to my stupid self, I finally stop and eat here with my 2 kids who just discovered they like pulled pork and ribs. I finally get to eat in a place I really wanted for a long time. Going there and after getting a paid parking spot right in front of the restaurant I see that there is NO line. Usually everytime I pass there are people inside so this was a great surprise. Read the whole menu and everything looked awesome but I went with Brisket Sandwich in mind so that was what I ordered. There are not many restaurants that serve this type of food in my native Puerto Rico so I'm always confused when I order this type of food which I fucking adore. Prices were about $10 each which I thought was a bit high until my plate came in. The Brisket sandwich was very, very good. The bread was soft and absorbed the juices of the Brisket and held its own throughout all the meal which is a great sign. The brisket was very tender and a very good portion in that sandwich. Came with a side of fires which were crispy, perfectly salted and brown as they are supposed to be cooked Also ordered a side of Mac and Cheese which was pretty good but nothing special. The manager saw me struggling because I wanted the whole menu and I asked what were those little fried balls you see on the upper left of the photo, so she gave me one to taste and that thing was delicious. Still don't know what they were but of you are there do yourself a favor and order that thing My kid ordered wings which had a pretty good, not too strong dry rub. They were big wings so 2 were more than enough for my kid and they were crispy and had a lot of meat. Perfectly cooked I might add. The diferent kind of BBQ sauces was great even the hot, hot one was edible and contrasted perfectly with the food. The mild was good and thick, perfect for the sandwich. The service was above and beyond and the manager of the place is a good enough reason to give this restaurant a try but really the food was excellent. I fully recommend this restuarant as the food was high above average (although there is always room for improvement) and the prices are very fair for the amount of food they serve. Great experience all around and I will definitively be back to this place. If you are hungry, on a budget and in a hurry, this is the place to go.

Until now, I've been a faithful delivery customer for a while, ordering from Mr. B's about once a week The food is good and the delivery very fast. In recent months, the service has gone seriously downhill. On more than one occasion, I have called and let the phone ring for a couple of minutes with no answer or getting their voicemail. I'm able to get someone on the phone if I call back a few minutes later. They are frequently out of sides (Really? No fries?). The woman who usually answers the phone seems to be pretty bad at her job. Despite ordering from them all the time, this particular woman tells me I'm not in their system. If I happen to get someone else, they easily pull up my info when I provide my phone number. This same woman has taken down my information incorrectly on more than one occasion. Just now, I called and had to hold for six minutes. When she pulled the whole not in the system business, I asked to speak with the manager, only to be told she wasn't in and the woman did not know when she would be in. To be fair, she did offer to let me speak with the cook. So, goodbye Mr. B's. It was great while it lasted.

The RIBS and food are great, delicious and so tasty. I love when they do catering at my job! The gentleman Dave who serves is really friendly and so nice. BUT: Therefore I went to the restaurant 3 times already and they didn't had no type of ribs, sides or deserts. They are always missing something. The owner has the worst manager, She's rude and dirty she don't care for the business at all. I don't know how he doesn't see the mistakes she's doing. All she does is sits on a chair and be on the computer she even has a coloring book to be a manager there's no way in hell you'll do that. He needs someone who can handle a real business. The restaurant is dirty everywhere and the bathroom stinks. I really hope they get a new manager or else the restaurant will close with the manager they have NOW!
