The food was excellent with the generous portions. The service was also great - they answered our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The chef took time to come speak with us which was an added treat.

DIXIE NORMOUS

We were on the search for vegan dishes and stumbled upon this little spot. Ordered the Saffron Biryani with lamb ($20). The bowl was HUGE! Probably good for 4 people. Needless to say I didn't finish it and had lots of leftovers.Everything is Ala carte. We ordered the coconut curry and rice as it came with no rice. It was very tasty. The Naan was perfectly cooked. Not burntOrdered hot chai and a lemonade with ginger. Everything was amazing but the best part was our server, Shea. She took very good care of us and was checking on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian friendly

I love Indian food and have tried a lot of places. This was my first time trying this restaurant and it was AMAZING!!! The flavoring was great and it was very obvious that they use very fresh ingredients. This will be my go to place from now on.Vegetarian options: Their vegetarian Korma and saag paneer was excellent!

I can't believe I've never reviewed this place. Have been coming here for years. The best Indian food in the Valley hands down, I had my first ever taste of Indian food here, and every time I've tried other places, I was always greatly disappointed it wasn't Saffron. Owners are very friendly, servers are great, and the atmosphere is great, but the food speaks for itself! If you love Indian food, this is the place!!!

STOP!! Do not eat here!I’m not one to leave a knee-jerk bad review. But this was a terrible food experience. We ordered through Uber Eats, so I won’t comment on anything about the service or atmosphere. But the food was really not good. The samosas were the only average, palatable part of our order. They weren’t extraordinary, but they weren’t terrible. And if everything else had been delicious, I would have been happy with them.Everything else, however, was not delicious. It was very disappointing. The naan was completely unremarkable. Had the look and consistency of a pancake, and the garlic tasted bad from (a) not being toasted long enough on the naan, and (b) being from a jar (which would be fine, if it were toasted long enough). The “korma” tasted like Chef Boyardee - which is crazy, because korma shouldn’t even contain tomato. Ever. And it even had canned green beans in it. Like, what?? (See photos)The butter chicken was slightly better, but still mostly terrible. Both sauces were EXTREMELY thin, to the point of being watery. And the chicken in both was very obviously precooked, pre-grill-marked, and from-frozen. (See photo)We barely ate either dish. Both entree photos are what was left AFTER we had eaten what we could stomach.I sincerely hope this place stops serving food.

I am modifying my previous review, as I went in person for lunch today. It was expensive for the quality and flavor. The vegan chana masala was clearly canned chickpeas (my Pakistani fiancé and I make it all the time, so it is obvious in taste/texture, when chickpeas are not soaked and boiled within a 24+ hour process). Also, the tandoori roti and mint chutney were not fresh. The roti was obviously not homemade (frozen or old…we make our own) and the mint chutney was a deep forest green and odd flavor (not fresh). There seemed to be a few “regular customers”, but perhaps they are not familiar with how this cuisine should taste. I am actually upset that I spent the money I did today. Will not try a 3rd time.My fiancé and I usually drive to Flagstaff for an Indian lunch, because we just haven’t found a great place in Phoenix. I ordered delivery from here the other night and it was delicious! The chana masala tasted homemade and reminded me of my own chana recipe. Being vegan for 23 years, I really appreciate their clear labeling. I will definitely try more food here, in the near future! The heat level was also on point!

This place is a gold mine to find! I've been going for years, and I love the family that owns it, and the people they hire. That's not even including the fact that their food is absolutely incredible.

I can not believe that I have not left a review yet. My wife and I have been here a few times and each time is a great experience. This is a hidden gem in the back of a shopping center. When you first come in you are greeted by welcoming staff. Our first time in we were met by one of the owners and she was so helpful. Walked us through the menu, we ended up letting her order for us (highly recommended). The food is all fresh made daily by Sachin the chef. The ambiance is very good with the small family owned restaurant feel. If you have not tried it before you are missing out.

Excellent food and service. Sachin is one of the finest cooks for Indian cuisine. Try Lamb Chop and Chicken Biryani here..

Delivery costs aside, the fact that none of the dishes come with rice is crazy. Average price of dishes ordered was $23 per dish and zero rice. I get paying for extra rice. But none?

Food was delicious, portions were generous, and the service was like being with family! Don’t pass on the Indian-Chinese fusion options as well- sooo good. We’ll be customers for life now.
