My friends from out of town picked this Mexican restaurant since it was near their hotel, it wasn't my initial recommendation especially after looking at the low reviews, however the food turned out to be very good, I tried a few of my friends meals, the service was excellent. Not the best in town but still great. I do recommend this restaurant

I miss good tacos and was hoping to satiate my taco craving here. I was not disappointed. Connie was an excellent server and took good care of us, ensuring refills for our waters and my adult beverage. She accidentally ordered my friend a 2nd drink too and we ended up paying for. Luckily the drinks were good and the sangria wasn't too strong so my friend was able to enjoy her 2nd drink. I'd come back. The decor and atmosphere are just fun.

We went to Salt last night before a concert. Of course it was busy so our server was overwhelmed and overloaded. We sat outside and were looking forward to some beers and to split an order of carne asada. We were seated right away and our waitress made contact almost immediately. We ordered two beers and chips / salsa (2.50).
About 15 min later the chip fragments came out, and maybe 10 min later one of our two beers came out. Server apologized and said she would get the other beer right away. We ordered our food at that point. We ordered the carne asada plate and asked for extra plates and extra tortillas.
Seldom saw our server, but when I did I asked about the beer. Was 40 min in when I got it. My wife was already done with hers.
Soon after came the food minus the tortillas and extra plates. Another 10 min or so until the plates got there. Steak was very well done (overcooked) and there was minimal onion and peppers. They were undercooked. Sat and stared at this while we waited for tortillas. When the tortillas finally came and we saw our long lost server we ordered more drinks and ate our cold steak tacos. They were ok, but not worth the $27 price tag. She didn’t bring the extra tortillas, those came out about 20 min later. Stared at our cold, partially consumed steak for that time. Water was refilled once. (Mine but not my wife’s) I feel like our waitress was nice and really could have used some support. She also just seemed to forget about us unless I flagged her down.
Salt Managers - Do better. Support your staff. Plan for events in the area.
I’m ok with spending $127 given your location, but for that price, your service should be stellar no matter how busy you are.

I understand the name now. Did a chicken burrito bowl and there was so much salt it was inedible. Service left much to be desired. We would have loved another round of drinks but couldn’t find our waitress. She appeared to be deep in conversation with someone working at the bar when we did find her.

Wife and I had our once in a while date night. We thought this place seems good so we went here. The waffle fries and carne asada appetizer was really good. I ordered the tacos which were also pretty good. She ordered the enchiladas and she did not like the sauces, particularly the white sauce which was part of the Christmas style sauce. We were told that only the red and white were part of the Christmas style sauce. She was very disappointed and I felt bad because we don't get to go out a lot. Also, why was it so warm in the building? It was hot outside, but even the people sitting next us were fanning their faces with the menus so it wasn't just us. This was not worth the 90+ dollar bill and I probably won't recommend it to anyone who wants Mexican food. Presentation of the food looked good. See photos.
