Stopped by here on our way out. We were so hungry. This place is a strip mall restaurant. It's very clean looking. And large. The portions are smaller than many similar places. The prices are very comparable. Our meal started off with egg drop soup. It was absolutely delicious. My companion had the lemon chicken with white rice. They were happy with their selection. The egg roll had a smoky taste. It didn't seem to affect much. I chose the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken itself was good and as expected but the rice and peppers were definitely off. The rice tasted burnt and had a smoky type of taste almost chemical like. The peppers were bitter and chemical tasting. Not pleasant. To the credit of the restaurant they did exchange the rice when I brought it to their attention. I didn't say anything about the peppers since I had already eaten the 2 pieces I'd been served. Anything the rice or peppers had touched wasn't very good at all. I picked through my meal and ended up not eating it. The gentleman serving was very attentive. Service was quick. And they were very responsive when the issue was brought to their attention. The food just didn't get there. I'm not sure if this was a one off fluke or normal.

I ordered at 7pm online thru yelp but picked it up myself I ordered chicken egg foo yong, beef with broccoli, pot stickers and rice. I paid $46 and the food was horrible!!!! Perhaps since it was 7 pm on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was empty when I arrived, the staff had served me something left from earlier in the day. It was bland and lacking in any flavor. I won't be returning.

We ordered take out a few times. War won ton soup comes with so much inside and it's bland. Orange chicken has good flavor but it so soggy there's no crisp it's like eating wet bread!

Price: Fair Food: Good to Great (pending what you order) Service: Good Overall: I really do like this place, it's solid even if it closes early. The curry is really good, especially the seafood combo. I haven't had anything I don't like but some dishes are definitely better than others. Ordering from here can be a pain. Sometimes the phone is busy and there isn't an online ordering system. This place is solid though. Stop in and give it a try.

It looks like a classic run down strip mall Chinese restaurant but the reviews of the place emboldened me. I was on the hunt for good Mapo Tofu since my favorite place in the Chinese Cultural Center closed a few years ago (). I ordered the Mapo and pot stickers. The pot stickers were home made but not a ton of flavor. However the Mapo was on point. They used the Szechwan peppercorns and the hot bean paste in it. No peas or carrots here! It had the authentic flavors I was looking for, albeit not quite as spicy. (Some restaurants second guess my ability to handle the heat). It was almost exactly what I wanted and I would certainly go here again if in the area. Luckily, they are near my Son's house so I will have an excuse. I live on the far west side of Surprise so it's a long ride just for lunch. When I used to go to the Chinese Cultural Center and have lunch at the Szechwan House there, I would order from the Chinese portion of the menu. I always got asked "was I sure" when it came to the spicy dishes but I loved every authentic morsel. Too bad they are gone. I would pay good money to have their food again. And please indulge an editorial comment on the demise of the Chinese Cultural Center. That the City of Phoenix allowed this to happen was unconscionable. The new owners destroyed one of the only great places to visit and experience Chinese culture, events, architecture and food in the region. Destroying the hand made roof tiles alone was a travesty, burying the Chinese artisans' work in a landfill and losing the art of making them forever. Shame on you.

Great variety of menu selections. Food is cooked well and served in an inviting way. We had the dumplings in chili oil, onion pancake, spicy shrimp casserole, and brisket pot meals. All were delicious. Took hone a substantial amount as leftovers. We will be back.m

Your order will never be right, even if you repeat yourself. I don't know why they keep this same server, but it's truly a joke. Ordered 'salt & pepper prawns NO HEADS', (because the menu specifies). My husband even repeated it when he brought water to the table and, per usual, it came with heads. Took it back and they just took the heads off and reserved it. With shrimp that sticks to the shell. Crappy shrimp, too. It's no wonder that the 4 times we've tried to give them another chance there's never been more than 2 filled tables. Good luck.

Szechuan Cuisine offers a decent meal. The menu is adequate with its number of offerings. On a recent visit, the food prep time was fast (as it should have been due to very few Customers), though the server moved at a snail's pace. The beef in the Beef with Snow Peas was good, although slightly grizzly. The Onion Pancake was a bit greasy and had no hint of onion flavor. The Chinese Green (Bok Choy in Garlic Sauce) was mostly "stalk" and minimal in "leafy" greens. The Pork Juicy Dumplings fell apart and much of the "juice" (soup) ended up at the bottom of the steamer. No chopsticks were provided. The price point was good. Though there are other Szechuan eateries I prefer to visit, Szechuan Cuisine will do when on this side of town.

This place was solid, and my four-star rating for them would have been a five-star for nearly anyone else but I'm going to be a little bit harder on them than I normally would. This is a nice little Chinese restaurant in a strip mall in Glendale. They serve some good authentic Szechuan-style cuisine, which is why their name is so appropriate. However, compared to some other Szechuan restaurants in the valley, their food is just a little on the bland side... and that's problematic. Szechuan cuisine is famous for mala:( And this place really tones it back. Good Szechuan food is supposed to make your tongue tingle. Not every dish goes super heavy on it, but the majority do, and I didn't get any of that here. Granted, they probably tone it down because the local guailos complain about it (IF they even dare to eat anything adventurous), but it still kept me from giving them five stars. Also, as several other people have mentioned, their juicy pork soup dumplings really aren't particularly soupy, and every one that came to us was punctured. They were tasty, but they weren't the explosion of juicy porky goodness that I was hoping for and have experienced elsewhere. Their chongqing chicken is fine, but I've actually really enjoyed it in the past when it was the chopped-up wings. Also, there weren't *NEARLY* enough chilis in it- the chicken is supposed to be swimming in them. The dumplings in hot oil were fine, but again without the mala there was no bite. All in all, this is a good place and we'll probably be coming back because it's the closest thing that we have out here in the west side, but I wish they wouldn't d*** their dishes down to please the lowest common denominator.

Decent food but I was quite disappointed with the spice level. Unfortunately this place does not live up to its Szechuan name. Great staff and service though. Very fair price for the food.

decent white washed Sichuan foods. good overall, but was disappointed at the quality of huajiao (sichuan pepper) they used. If you are expecting the authentic sichuan cuisine that are bursing flavor with hot and numbing spiciness, do not come here.

I almost left 3 stars but I didn't want to make them look like the food is horrible. The juicy pork dumplings had no juice in them? And they were so small. They looked HUGE in the pics. Even in videos I've seen online. They were still tasty though. And the spicy chongking chicken I had tasted like fish. I get sick when I eat fish. I took 1 bite and tasted it so idk if maybe they fry it in the same oil but im on the verge of puking rn. Not going to make a deal out of it cause that's likely all that's going to come out of it but no offense to these people i wouldn't return. But deff don't let that stop you from trying them out. I'm sure the food is amazing looking at all the reviews
