Urban Agave

INCREDIBLE!!! We come here all the time. It is our go to neighborhood place. We often sit at the bar and enjoy great drinks, the best food, and super friendly service. Today we tried brunch for our son’s birthday. The food surpassed our already extremely high expectations of this place and as expected the service was exceptional!! Yes it is a little pricey but so is everything these day and at least you really get every penny’s worth! I can’t say enough good things!

Excellent waiter, superb salsa. Tasty veggie tacos and very good margaritas. Restaurant was clean and they take reservations.

We were really hungry after a long ride, and our server was great. The chips and salsa were yummy, and the mushroom and shrimp tacos were good. $14.00 for the icky elote made me mad. For that kind of money, I don't expect frozen corn; and if that wasn't frozen, it was boiled for way too long. We also ordered a side of beans and rice, which were just as disappointing. No flavor, plain, and not at all complimentary as a side to the tacos. It is what it is, but the negatives outweighed the positives with the sides being such a disappointment.

Took a party of 9 for fun out with friends last night. Food was great! Their salsas really stand out from the competition by far! Chicharónes
outstanding and the Margaritas excellent! Our waiter (apologies I forgot his name) was friendly, entertaining and speedy quick! Thanks for a perfect evening! We will be back

A nice change from the Mexican food served at most restaurants. Huge portions, beautifully plated, eclectic menu. The server was excellent and we felt a good vibe in this restaurant. Highly recommend it!

My wife and I have been going to urban agave for the last two years, sometimes as often as every month. Went there today for taco Tuesday and happy hour. Our favorite Carne Asada tacos did not taste as good as they did and the meat was tougher and stringy. The margaritas which were fairly good where sugary with no taste of alcohol and now served in these puny margarita glasses with the little cactus stem that you could buy at the dollar store. Filled with ice there wasn’t 4 ounces of fluid. Very disappointed. I won’t get into our waitress botching up our simple order-4 tacos & 2 margs. The bartender spent her time at the far end of the bar carrying on with a couple of regulars. One guy came in, sat down, took a look at the menu and left. There’s hardly anybody in the place, so I understand the struggle trying to stay in business. We used to rate UA as one of our favorites, but now it’s off the list all together. Too bad…

Came in on Saturday at 9:25pm, website and door show they close at 10pm. sat at the bar, place was little empty only 2 other tables, I asked if they were still open and bartender says technically open. When I asked for menus , she came back and said we are only serving appetizers. I finish my drink and left. Update your hours if you’re going to close early.

I've visited Urban Agave in Peoria several times now, and I’ve always had a great meal and experience. The food has consistently been delicious, and the atmosphere decent. On my most recent visit, however, I noticed that the menu had changed, and the number of choices seemed reduced. While the meal was still good, it didn't quite live up to the high expectations set by my previous visits.

One of the standout features of Urban Agave is their large outdoor patio, which provides a fantastic dining experience, especially in the cooler months. It's a great spot to enjoy a meal al fresco. Additionally, they offer a private dining room for parties and events, which is perfect for hosting special occasions in a more intimate setting.

Overall, Urban Agave remains a solid choice for dining in Peoria, and I look forward to seeing if they expand their menu offerings in the future.
